Transfer Points To Avios
Calculate the transfer of points from partners to Avios with British Airways, Iberia, and Aer Lingus. Get the details on the best cards for earning Avios.
Avios with British Airways, Iberia, and Aer Lingus can be earned by transferring rewards earned with partnering programs directly to your Avios account. This provides a great way to earn Avios at a better rate than Avios credit cards by using partner credit cards. This is also a great way to earn big amounts of Avios through partner credit card sign up bonuses.
Transfer Points To British Airways Avios
British Airways has the most direct transfer partners of any Avios-earning airline. There's about 10 programs that allow you to transfer to British Airways including major bank rewards programs like Chase Ultimate Rewards and AMEX Membership Rewards.

Transfer Points To Iberia Avios
When it comes to transferring points to the Iberia Plus program, Iberia has fewer transfer partners than British Airways. Even with that being the case, both American Express and Chase are still direct 1:1 transfer partners. This gives you the chance to earn just as many Avios with Iberia than you can with British Airways using partner credit cards.

Aer Lingus has the least amount of transfer partners between all three programs that can earn using this method. Luckily, American Express Membership Rewards is one of the two partners. This means American Express is the best program for anyone who wants the ability to transfer to Aer Lingus, British Airways, and Iberia.

Transfer Points To Vueling Avios
For U.S.-based members, Best Western is your choice for topping off your account. If you frequently stay with Best Western, the transfer could be worth it, but I wouldn't deliberatly go for Best Western points to earn Avios with Vueling since you can easily book Vueling flights using the other Avios-earning airlines.

Best Credit Cards For Earning Avios
Chase and AMEX are your main choices for earning Avios across these programs. Both programs offer great earning rates that can make it hard to decide which is better (hint: use the calculators). If you want the flexibility to transfer to all three programs, Membership Rewards is the best option. Also, if you want to transfer to Aer Lingus, Membership Rewards is your only good option. Otherwise, listed below are both programs and the bonus categories that earn the most Avios in each program. Do note that not every category is listed.
