AMEX Business Green Card Point Calculator
Calculate total Membership Rewards Points based on spend across the AMEX Business Green Card and compare the results against hundreds of cards.
The AMEX Business Green Card is a familiar charge card in the American Express card line-up. This iconic card is well recognized due to it's design and it's No Personal Spending Limit (NPSL) perk. This allows you to spend up to an ever changing, hidden limit set by American Express based on factors such as previous spend habits and credit history.
The Business Green Card earns a flat rate of Membership Rewards Points per $1 spent. There is no limit to the amount of points you can earn using this business card.
All non American Express travel portal purchases made on the AMEX Business Green Card will earn 1 Membership Rewards Point per $1 spent. This can easily be beat by both the Blue Business Plus with 2x points per dollar and the Everyday Preferred Card which can earn up to 1.5x points per dollar. I would not recommend non-category spend on the Business Green card.
+1 AMEX Travel Portal
The AMEX Business Green Card earns 1 additional Membership Rewards Points per $1 spent on the American Express travel portal. This is a perk that is available on most Membership Rewards Point earning credit cards. If you find yourself spending money on the AMEX Travel Portal, you can earn more points using the AMEX Blue Business Plus Card or either the American Express Platinum Card or AMEX Business Platinum Card.
Perks and Benefits
No Personal Spending Limit (NPSL)
The AMEX Business Green Card is a charge card which means it has no preset spending limit (NPSL). No preset spending limit does not mean unlimited spending. Purchasing power adjusts with the use of the Card, the payment history, credit record and financial resources known to AMEX along with other factors. American Express is most known for it's NPSL charge cards due to the popular Business Platinum Card and the iconic looks of both this Business Green Card and Business Rewards Gold Card.
Standard AMEX Features
The AMEX Business Green Card's features the standard American Express benefits found on most of their cards. This includes perks such as, but not limited to, AMEX Offers, access to AMEX presale tickets, return protection, roadside assistance, complimentary ShopRunner membership, extended warranty, purchase protection, and travel accident insurance.

The standard AMEX Business Green Card sign up bonus is 5,000 Membership Rewards Points after the first purchase. This is easily worth around $50 depending on the redemption but could be worth as much as $100 when transferred to certain travel partners. This card usually has a 0% intro APR as well.
Credit Card Fees
|Authorized User Fee|
|Foreign Transaction Fee|
The AMEX Business Green Card annual fee is $0 the first year, then $95. While the earnings are sub par the first year, once the fee kicks in you're better off grabbing another card such as the Blue Business Plus.
Authorized User Fee
There is no fee to add authorized users to the AMEX Business Green. Besides assisting you in earning points on the American Express Travel Portal, there is not much an authorized user can do with the card.
Foreign Transaction Fee
Using the AMEX Business Green overseas will cost you. It has a 2.7% foreign transaction fee meaning any points you earn out of country will be null and void once the fee hits your account.
