The U.S. Bank Radisson Rewards Premier Visa Signature is hands down the best Radisson credit card out of the three offered. It earns an outstanding return on Radisson Hotels, grants status with Radisson, and even offers bonus points for renewing the card. It's a must have for anyone that stays at Radisson hotels even if only a few times a year. The amount of perks and bonuses the Radisson Premier offers drowns out the small annual fee it has and puts it miles ahead of both the Radisson Visa Signature and Radisson Visa.

Bonus Categories

The Radisson Rewards Premier Visa Signature Card has one bonus category which is spending at Radisson Hotels. There's no limit to the amount of Radisson Reward Points you can earn using this card.

10x Radisson Hotels

Using the Radisson Premier Card at Radisson Hotels will earn 10 Radisson Reward Points per $1 spent. This is equal to a 4% return which is about the norm for most co-branded hotel credit cards such as the Marriott and Hyatt credit cards.

In terms of getting a higher return, the Radisson Premier is probably the best choice if you're using the points for Radisson Hotel redemptions. If you have a premium card such as the Chase Sapphire Reserve, you'll earn a slightly higher return, but you will be skipping out on the perks & benefits of the Radisson Premier Card such as the renewal bonus and the Radisson Gold Status it offers which earns you an additional 25x Radisson Reward Points for a total return of 14%.

5x Non-Category

Non-Radisson Hotel purchases will earn 5 Radisson Reward Points per $1 spent. With a point value of 0.4 cents each, this is a return of about 2%. If you're trying to earn Radisson Reward Points, this is not a bad option to take, but I wouldn't recommend putting all non-Radisson purchases on the card. If you spend heavy in other categories such as grocery, restaurants, or gas, you should pick up reward cards that earn you more in those categories and maximize your return.

Perks and Benefits

Card Renewal Bonus

After holding the Radisson Premier Card for a year and paying the annual fee the second time, you will receive a renewal bonus of 40,000 Radisson Reward Points. This renewal bonus is worth about $160 which is more than double the annual fee of the card. This bonus alone makes the Radisson Premier worth paying the fee.

Earn Up To 3 Free Nights

For every $10,000 in spend ran through the Radisson Premier Card, a free night will be offered on the card anniversary date after the annual fee is paid. You can earn up to 3 free nights per year by spending $30,000 on the card.

It's a nice added bonus if you end up putting that type of spend on the Radisson Premier Card, but you may want to consider other cards that earn bonuses for high spend that may be worth more than a few free nights. For example, spending $25,000 on the Delta Platinum or Delta Business Platinum will earn 10,000 Delta Skymiles, 10,000 MQMs with Delta towards acheviing Medallion Status, and waive the MQD qualification for Gold, Silver, and Platinum Medallion Status. So you may want to look around at other reward cards that are good for big spending.

Complimentary Gold Status

Radisson Premier Card holders will receive complimentary Radisson Gold Status. Gold status is normally obtained after 30 nights or 20 stays with Radisson Hotels so this is a good shortcut to obtaining status. Radisson Gold status comes with benefits such as earning 25 points per $1 spent on/at Radisson properties, a 15% discount on food and drinks, and more.

Offering complimentary hotel status is common with co-branded credit cards. The Marriott Bonvoy Boundless Card along with several other Marriott cards offers Marriott Silver Elite Status, the World of Hyatt Card offers Hyatt Discoverist Status, and both the Hilton Surpass Card and Hilton Business Card offers complimentary Hilton Honors Gold.

If you want status in multiple programs, the AMEX Platinum and AMEX Business Platinum cards both offer Marriott Gold Elite and Hilton Honors Gold status. On top of that, all authorized users of the Platinum Cards also earn gold status with both hotel programs along with several other premium travel perks!

Bonus Qualifying Nights

Holders of the Radisson Premier Visa Signature Card that already have Gold or Platinum status, will receive 15 bonus qualifying nights towards acheiving a higher status with Radisson. Most co-branded hotel cards do not assist with earning higher status for members that may already have status with the rewards program.

No Preset Spending Limit (NPSL)

The Radisson Premier Card does not have a preset spending limit. This means you'll be able to spend up to a certain amount determined by U.S. bank based on your past payment history, how you use the card, credit history, and more. NPSL does not mean you have infinite spending power, but rather flexibility.

Several cards in the reward universe feature NPSL, but it is most known for being on American Express cards such as the Platinum Card, Gold Card, and the iconic Green Card. The U.S. Bank Aeromexico Visa Signature Credit Card also features NPSL.

Sign Up Bonus

The standard Radisson Rewards Premier Visa Card sign up bonus is 85,000 Radisson Reward points which is worth about $340 towards hotel redemptions. You will receive 50,000 points after making your first purchase and the additional 35,000 points after spending $2,500 on the Radisson Premier Card within the first 90 days. This is a great bonus for anyone looking to stay at Radisson Hotels.

Credit Card Fees

Annual Fee
Authorized User Fee
Foreign Transaction Fee

Annual Fee

The annual fee for the Radisson Premier Visa Signature Card is $75. This is a few dollars lower than the normal co-branded hotel card range of $85-$95 per year. With the perks this card offers, if you stay at Radisson Hotels this card is easily worth the fee since you can come out ahead with minimal spend.

Authorized User

The Radisson Premier Visa Signature Card does not have a fee for adding authorized users to the account. If you have friends or family that spend at Radisson Hotels or if you want to make some extra points of non-category purchases, I recommend adding them.

Foreign Transaction Fee

The Radisson Premier Card has a foriegn transaction fee of 3% meaning you will lose the full value of rewards earned with the card. I do not recommend using this card out of country.
