- Motto by Hilton
- Hampton by Hilton
- Home2 Suites by Hilton
- Tru by Hilton

Credit Card Rewards Calculators
Hilton does not have any co-branded credit cards for members based out of Australia. Your best option for earning Hilton Honors Points will be by earning rewards with partners and transferring those earned points to your Hilton Honors account. The only real program that can earn you a steady stream of Hilton Honors Points will be American Express Membership Rewards.
You can compare the results side by side any credit cards featured on the site to find out which earns you the most rewards and the best return. If cookies are enabled, all spend entered (primary/first column only) will carry over to all credit card calculators on the website.
Redeeming Rewards & Cash Value
Hilton Honors Points have the best value of 0.6 cents each when redeemed for free nights at Hilton brand hotels. All-in-all, you can redeem Hilton Honors Points towards:
- Free Nights at Hilton Brand Hotels
- Hilton All-Inclusive Resorts
- Car Rentals
- Events at Hilton Properties
- Transfers To Airline Partners
Hilton Honors Points Value Calculator
Use the Hilton Points Value Calculator to calculate the average cash value of your Hilton Points based on the average value of each redemption listed. You can enter any amount of points in the field below.
These are the average cash values for Hilton Honors Points when used for free nights:
|Hilton Points||Cash Value|
Redeem For Free Nights
The best value you can obtain from Hilton Honors Points will come from redeeming them towards free nights which will give your points an average value of around 0.6 cents each. This means that 10,000 Hilton Honors Points will typically give you around A$60 in value. If you have Hilton Honors Status, you can get a little more in value thanks to their 5th night fee benefit which gives you a free night when you book a 5-day consecutive award stay. This will bump the value of your Hilton Honors Points up a small amount.
Redeem At All-Inclusive Resorts
Hilton Honors Points can be redeemed towards stays at Hilton's all-inclusive resorts. The redemption value for these will give you around the same average value of 0.6 cents per point, though there are times in which you can get more or less depending on when you book your stay. I consider these redemptions to be slightly better than your standard redemption since you'll typically save money staying at an "all-inclusive" resort versus a normal Hilton property.
Hilton has a total of 8 all-inclusive resorts located in Mexico, Costa Rica, Jamaica, Egypt and Turkey. Those hotels are listed below. You can click on any of them to be taken to each hotel's information page on the Hilton website.
- Mexico: Hilton Puerto Vallarta Resort
- Jamaica: Hilton Rose Hall Resort & Spa
- Egypt: Hilton Sharks Bay Resort
- Egypt: Hilton Marsa Alam Nubian Resort
- Turkey: Hilton Dalaman Sarigerme Resort & Spa
- Turkey: Hilton Bodrum Turkbuku Resort & Spa
All of Hilton's all-inclusive resorts are pretty reasonably priced when it comes to redeeming Hilton Honors Points or paying cash. If you're looking to go all out, I recommend taking a look at their available options.
Redeem For Car Rentals
Hilton Honors Points can be redeemed for car rentals with National, Alamo, and Enterprise car rental companies. This will give your Hilton Honors Points a value of around 0.2 cents each which is on the low side. There are many instances in which a 1-day car rental can cost the same as a free night at a Hilton Hotel. Do note that the ability to use your points for rentals in Australia is not possible on the site (though you can earn points on rentals in Australia).
Redeem For Events
If you're planning on holding an event at a Hilton property, you can redeem your Hilton Honors Points to cover the cost at a value of around 0.27 cents per point. Redemptions are in set denominations and they are in USD.
|Hilton Event Credits|
|25,000 Hilton Honors Points||$50 USD||A$68|
|50,000 Hilton Honors Points||$100 USD||~A$136|
|75,000 Hilton Honors Points||$150 USD||~A$205|
|125,000 Hilton Honors Points||$250 USD||~A$342|
|250,000 Hilton Honors Points||$500 USD||~A$684|
You can transfer rewards earned in other programs directly to your Hilton Honors account and you can transfer Hilton Honors Points to a long list of airline partners.
Transfer Points To Hilton Honors
You can transfer points to your Hilton Honors account using a few select programs which includes AMEX Membership Rewards. Since there's no co-branded Hilton Honors cards currently available, this is your best option for everyday spend if you're looking to maximize your earnings in the program.
Transfer To Hilton Calculator
You can use the Transfer Points To Hilton Calculator below to calculate the transfer of points to the Hilton Honors program from their partners.
Earning With Transfer Partner Credit Cards
For the handful of travel partners that allow you to transfer rewards to the Hilton Honors Program, you can use the credit cards of those programs to earn points with Hilton. This is done by running spend and earning sign up bonuses on partner credit cards to earn rewards and then transferring those rewards to your Hilton Honors account. This can help you build a decent amount of Hilton Honors Points.
All of the credit cards in the table below earn rewards with a program that has the ability to be transfered to the the Hilton Honors program. The earning rates for transfer partner credit cards are based on the transfer ratio when converting rewards to Hilton Honors Points.

- Virgin Australia
You'll find that most transfers from Hilton Honors to partners are at either a 10:1 or 10:1.5 ratio meaning you'll earn 1,000 or 1,500 miles/points for every 10,000 Hilton Honors Points you transfer.
How To Transfer Hilton Honors Points
Transferring Hilton Honors Points to airline miles and rail rewards programs is pretty easy to do. Before you're able to transfer Hilton Points, you'll need to add airlines or Amtrak to your list of preferred travel partners. You can do this under Hilton - My Preferences. You can enter as many partners as you want and I recommend doing so to save time in the future for when you need to make a quick transfer. Do note that you will need the membership number for each program you add so have those handy.
Once you've added at least one partner, you'll be able to transfer Hilton Honors Points. You can get started on transferring Hilton Honors Points following these steps:
- Head to Hilton's Points Exchange page.
- Select Use Points to get miles.
- Select a transfer partner from the list and the exchange rate. Hit Next.
- Review the request, agree to the terms, and confirm the transfer.
Depending on the program, you should see the transferred points reflected in your airline frequent flyer or Amtrak Guest Rewards account.
Hilton Transfer Partners Calculator
The Hilton Transfer Partners Calculator will calculate the transfer of Hilton Honors Points to Hilton's partners. You can enter any amount of Hilton Honors Points to see how many miles or points you'll end up receiving with each program once transferred.
Hilton Honors Points are primarily earned by staying at Hilton brand hotels. You can also earn points renting cars.
Earning Hilton Honors Points On Stays
The primary method of earning points will be staying at Hilton brand hotels. You'll need to have a Hilton Honors account in order to earn points and you'll need to book your stays directly though Hilton. Using third parties such as Expedia or Hotels.com will not earn you Hilton Honors Points.
When staying at Hilton brand hotels, you'll earn base points per US$1 spent along with bonus points based on your Hilton Honors status.
Hilton Honors Base Points
Hilton Honors members earn points at a base rate of 10 points per $1 spent at a Hilton brand hotel. You will earn these points on the base rate of the hotel and any other eligible room charges made to the hotel including room service and telephone calls. You will not earn Hilton base points for taxes, fees, or surcharges. So if your total room cost is A$200 before taxes, you'll first need to convert it to USD which will give you around US$146. Since you earn 10 points per US$1 spent, you would end up with 1,460 Hilton Honors Points for the stay.
Hilton Honors Status Points
Earning Hilton Honors elite status will give you the ability to earn more points on paid stays at Hilton brand hotels. Elite status with Hilton is based on the number of nights, stay, or base points you earn per calendar year at Hilton brand hotels. The table below lists the requirements for earning Hilton Honors status on stays at Hilton hotels.
|Elite Tier||Requirements||Bonus Points|
|Member||Signing Up||No Bonus|
|Hilton Silver||4 Stays or 10 Nights||20% Bonus|
|Hilton Gold||20 Stays, 40 Nights, or 75,000 Base Points||80% Bonus|
|Hilton Diamond||30 Stays, 60 Nights, or 120,000 Base Points||100% Bonus|
Hilton Honors Calculators For Stays
The Hilton Honors Points Calculator will calculate total Hilton Honors Points based on spend and elite status with Hilton. Remember that you will not earn rewards points on taxes, fees, and surcharges and that points are based on US$1 spent.
Hilton Car Rental Partners
You can earn Hilton Honors Points booking car rentals through the Hilton Rental Car portal. This allows you to book cars with Alamo, Enterprise, and National. When searching for a car, you'll get the cost of each side by side so that you can easily find out which brand is offering the best deal. In additional to earning bonus Hilton Honors Points, you'll also earn discounts off the base rate. Do note that while you can earn points on rentals in Australia, you cannot redeem your points for rentals at Australia locations.
If you're short on Hilton Honors Points and you need a tad bit more points, Hilton Honors Points can be purchased. You can buy anywhere from 1,000 to 80,000 Hilton Honors Points in a calendar year. Buy Point promotions will sometimes allow you to purchase even more per calendar year as well.
Cost To Buy Hilton Honors Points
At the standard rate, Hilton Honors Points will cost you USD 1 cent (~1.4 cents AUD). You can buy as little as 1,000 Hilton Honors Points for US$10 or as many as 80,000 Hilton Honors Points for US$800 in a single transaction with the ability to buy up to 80,000 Hilton Honors Points per year.
|Hilton Points Cost|
|1,000 - 80,000 Points||1 Cent (USD)|
Hilton offers the chance to buy points at a heavy discount several times per year. Their best promotion is usually the 100% More Promo in which you can buy Hilton Honors Points for 0.5 cents each (~0.68 cents AUD) which is half off the standard price. If you're in need of topping off your account, buying during the promotions is the best time to do so since you'll be buying them at a rate closer to their average value.
How To Buy Hilton Honors Points
Hilton Honors Points can be purchased directly from the Hilton Honors portal.
- Head over to Hilton's Buy Points page.
- Log into your Hilton Honors account.
- Select how many Hilton Honors Points you want to buy.
- Enter your payment information.

Your purchased points should post to your account within a few minutes, but it can take up to 24 hours.
Hilton + Cash Back Portals
When booking your stays at Hilton, be sure to use a cash back portal to maximize your earnings. Cash back portals allows you to earn cash back (and sometimes other rewards) on top of the Hilton Honors Points you would normally receive. It's the easiest way to double and triple dip on rewards. There's many cash back portals to choose from, but they all pretty much work the same:
- You find the store on the online portal of your choosing
- Click on the cash back portal's affiliate link for that store
- You'll land on the store's normal home page to shop as normal
- Once you make a purchase, the shopping portal will be notified
- You'll earn cash back (or other rewards) with that online portal
I've earned a great deal of money over the past few years booking travel and shopping online using cash back portals. I recommend using them whenever you can.
Listed below are all of the popular cash back portals. If you're looking to earn rewards with Australia retailers, your best option hands down is Cashrewards, ShopBack, and Swagbucks. If you're mainly looking to earn rewards on travel or global retailers, just about any cash back program will do.
