Sign Up Bonus (SUB)

The HSBC Premier World Elite Mastercard has a sign up bonus of up to 100,000 Points plus a full annual fee rebate for the primary cardholder the first year. You'll earn 20,000 points when you're first approved for the card along with an additional 80,000 points after you spend $5,000 on the card within the first 180 days of card membership. 100,000 Points earned with the HSBC Premier World Elite Mastercard has a $500 travel value.

Fees & Income Requirements

Annual Fee

The annual fee for the HSBC Premier World Elite Mastercard is $149. As a HSBC Premier Client, the account is eligible for a $50 rebate of the annual fee which gives this card more value over the basic HSBC World Elite Mastercard.

Authorized User Fee

There is no fee to add additional users to the HSBC Premier World Elite Mastercard which is great considering the great return on general travel spend.

Foreign Transaction Fee

The HSBC Premier World Elite Mastercard has a foreign currency conversion rate of 0% which makes this a great card for international spending and travel.

Income Requirements

The HSBC Premier World Elite Mastercard requires an individual income of $80,000 or a household income of $150,000. You must also have an HSBC Premier Membership which means you need to open and maintain an active HSBC Premier Checking account as well as meet one of the following requirements:

  • Maintain $100,000 in a combined personal deposit and investment balances with HSBC
  • Reach a Total Mortgage Balance of $500,000 or more with HSBC
  • Deposit $6,500 (CAD) or more into your HSBC Premier account(s) monthly plus confirmation of $100,000 or more in deposits and/or investments in Canada
