Transfer rates are pulled directly from the website of the sending or receiving program whenever the information is publicly available. If it isn't, I cross-check multiple trusted sources and use the rate that's consistently reported.

How it's calculated

For a standard transfer, the calculation is:

• Received points = amount transferred × transfer rate

In other words: transferred points × rate = British Airways Executive Club Avios received

For the Transfer To calculator, we reverse the math to answer: "How many partner rewards do I need to transfer to reach my target British Airways Executive Club Avios?"

So the calculator uses:

• Required transfer = target British Airways Executive Club Avios ÷ transfer rate

Standard (Everyday) Transfer Bonuses

Some partners have built-in bonuses based on transfer size (for example, you might receive extra points when transferring in certain increments). When applicable, the calculator accounts for these by working backward from the target.

If you notice the required amount not increasing smoothly (or "jumping" between values) as you adjust the target or model amount, it's usually because the calculation is hitting a bonus threshold or an increment rule.

Limited-Time Transfer Promos

If a limited-time promo is known and active, it will be included in the calculations. These promos are typically a percentage bonus awarded when transferring from one program to another.

For a promo bonus, the effective math is:

• Received points = amount transferred × rate × (1 + bonus)
