On top of the good transfer ratio, Marriott also throws in a bonus 15,000 points every time you transfer 60,000 points to an airline partners. At a 3:1 transfer ratio, this gives you a bonus 5,000 Avios.
If you frequently stay at Marriott brand hotels, this is an easy way to build the equivalent of 3.3 Avios per US$1 spent at Marriott hotels since you'll earn 10 points per US$1 spent. If you have status or use a Marriott credit card, you'll be able to earn additional points and thus be able to earn at an even higher rate.
