Earning Emirates Skywards Miles with UK Credit Cards

You can earn Emirates Skywards Miles using several credit cards in the UK. Get the list of cards and calculate how many miles you can earn based on spend.

Emirates does not offer Skywards credit cards in the UK. Luckily, you can still build your miles on everyday spend using select UK credit cards offered by transfer partners.

Emirates Transfer Partners

Emirates Skywards Miles can be earned by transferring rewards earned in 10 different programs. Those 10 programs are:

  • Accor Live Limitless
  • American Express Membership Rewards
  • Heathrow Rewards
  • Hilton Honors
  • World of Hyatt
  • IHG Rewards Club
  • Jumeirah Sirius
  • Marriott Bonvoy
  • Radisson Rewards
  • Shangri-La Golden Circle

This means that you can use credit cards offered by these programs to easily rake in Emirates Skywards Miles on everyday spend. If you're looking to maximize your earnings, your best option will be American Express Membership Rewards and Marriott Bonvoy.

American Express Membership Rewards

If you're looking to build up your Emirates Skywards Miles, the American Express Membership Rewards Program is going to be your best option. AMEX Points can be transferred to Emirates at a 1:1 ratio. Pretty much all of the Membership Rewards credit cards earn at a base of 1 point per £1 spent with a few cards offering 2 to 3 points on select categories. The best cards out of the bunch in my opinion will be the The Platinum Card by American Express for its luxury travel benefits and the American Express Preferred Rewards Gold Card for its increased earnings on airfare and AMEX Travel purchases.

Marriott Bonvoy

If you're frequently stay at Marriott brand hotels, the Marriott Bonvoy program is a solid option for earning easy rewards transferable to Emirates. Points can be transferred to Emirates Skywards at a 3:1 ratio meaning that 3,000 Marriott Bonvoy Points will equal 1,000 Skywards Miles. When staying at Marriott, you'll earn 10 points per US$1 spent which comes out to being 3.3 Skywards Miles when transferred. You can also earn bonus points from Marriott Bonvoy Elite status and by using the Marriott Bonvoy AMEX Card.

Another positive to using the Marriott Bonvoy is that Marriott will give you a bonus 15,000 points for every 60,000 points you transfer to an airline partner. This is equal to a bonus 5,000 Skywards Miles. If you're using Marriott to earn airline miles with Emirates or any other program, I suggest transferring points in 60,000-block increments in order to maximize your rewards.

Transfer To Emirates Calculator

The best way to earn Emirates Skywards Miles will be by transferring rewards earned in partner programs directly to your Skywards account. The Emirates Points Transfer Calculator will calculate the transfer of rewards from other programs to your Emirates Skywards account. Enter any amount of miles in the calculator and it will output how many rewards are needed in the partner program to equal the amount you specified.
