Sign Up Bonus
The signup bonus for the Barclay Aviator Business Card usually hovers around 40,000 bonus miles. At my rate of 1.4 cents per mile, 40,000 AAdvantage Miles is worth $560. It could be worth more or less depending on the redemption. The best way to know their value to you, is to head over to AA's website and look for flights that cost around that amount. Once you find a flight, note how much it costs in points and how much that same flight costs in cash. You can use the Points and Miles Cash Value Calculator to plug in amounts and see how much value you're getting out of your AA miles.
Fees
Annual Fee
The annual fee for the AAdvantage Aviator Business Card is $95. This is average for this type of reward card. It could easily be worth the fee if you plan on using the card consistently to rake up AAdvantage Miles. The very similar CitiBusiness Platinum Select Card has the annual fee waived the first year before paying the $95 on the renewal.
Authorized User Fee
The AAdvantage Aviator Business Card does not have an authorized user fee. This allows you to add family and friends so that you can work together to build AAdvantage Miles faster.
Foreign Transaction Fee
The Barclay AAdvantage Aviator foreign transaction fee is 0%. Besides the Citi AAdvantage MileUp Card and the Citi AAdvantage Gold Card, the other AAdvantage credit cards have no foreign transaction fee.
Rewards Calculator
You can use the rewards calculator to calculate how many points, miles, or cash back you can earn based on your spend per category. This calculator will also give you the dollar value of the card based on the value of the rewards earned and how much each benefit is worth to you, minus the annual fees. You can click the Compare A Card button to compare this card side by side any other card featured on the site within the same calculator.
Note! All category spend entered in the primary card's column (first column when comparing cards) will carry over to all credit card calculators on the site. This means you will not have to re-enter the same information again and again when browsing during the session.
