Calculate how many AAdvantage Miles you can earn and the cash value of the Executive Card based on monthly/yearly spend, card benefits, and the fee.

The Citi Executive Card is American Airlines luxury premium card. It comes equipped with several travel perks and offers so good benefits when traveling with American Airlines. The Executive Card is one of the only premium luxury cards next to both the Delta SkyMiles Reserve and Delta SkyMiles Business Reserve cards which offer similar perks but specific to Delta Airlines.

Bonus Categories

The Citi AAdvantage Executive Card only has one bonus category which is American Airlines.

  • 2x American Airlines
    • aa.com, AA reservations, AA vacation reservations, airport/city ticket counters
  • 1x Non Category

The main focus of the AAdvantage Executive Card is the perks and benefits it offers. The highest earning rate for earning AAdvantage Miles is 2x, so this is a good card for your normal AA spend. Of course, you can generally get a higher overall return using other rewards credit cards.

Perks & Benefits

As previously mentioned, the Citi AAdvantage Executive Card is focused on perks and benefits. This includes complimentary lounge access, the ability to earn Elite Qualifying Miles with spend, your typical Global Entry/TSA PreCheck credit, and much more.

Sign Up Bonus (SUB)

The standard Citi AAdvantage Executive Card sign up bonus is 50,000 AAdvantage Miles. You can look at the AA Award Chart to see how far those miles can get you on award flights.

Annual Fee

The Citi AAdvantage Executive Card annual fee is $450. If you're looking to gain access to AA Admiral Lounges, oneworld Alliance lounges, and other partner lounges/clubs, picking up this card is the route you should take. The fee is close to the cost of buying full Admiral Club membership, so you may as well take advantage of the additional card perks (free checked bag, priority perks, etc.) if you're going to dish out the cash.

Authorized User Fee

The authorized user fee for the Citi AAdvantage Executive is $0 which is great considering it grants access to Admiral Club lounges. I recommend adding a friend/family member who travels to get the most out of the card.

Foreign Transaction Fee

The Citi AAdvantage Executive Card foreign transaction fee is 0%. It doesn't have any bonus categories besides 2x on American Airlines so it's use oversea will only earn a single mile, but it's still better than paying a fee.
