The best rewards program for earning Avios with Iberia Plus, as well as with British Airways Executive Club and Aer Lingus AerClub, is the American Express Membership Rewards Program. AMEX offers a total of 10 credit cards that can earn you the equavilent of 2-5 Avios per $1 spent across a mix of tralve and everyday categories such as grocery, restaurant/dining, gas station, and airfare. Several of their top cards also offer useful benefits that include annual credits, worldwide lounge access, and more.

Another solid option when it comes to earning Avios with Iberia is Chase Ultimate Rewards. Chase gives you the opportunity to earn points with their three Ultimate Rewards credit cards as well as with their four cash back credit cards. Chase focuses heavy on travel and dining, but also have business cards that touch on the categories of Internet, phone, cable, advertisement, and office supply stores. Chase also has the Chase Freedom Flex Card which can earn you 5 Avios on rotating quarterly categories.

A third option is the HSBC Rewards program which offers the fewest card options, but still earns a nice amount of points on travel and dining purchases. Plus, HSBC Points transfers to all three Avios rewards programs similar to Membership Rewards.

Credit Card Search Types

Best Cards By Estimated Return - Get a list of credit cards that gives you the best return. This is based on spend, currency value, annual credits, and annual fees.

Best Cards By Total Points - Get a list of credit cards that earns you the most points/miles based on spend. Currency value, annual credits, and annual fees are not factored into this search. Great for those who get waived fees (i.e. military).

After your results are displayed, I recommend clicking on a card's Rewards Calculator. This allows you to come up with a more accurate number by adjusting the cash value of perk, being able to calculate spend bonuses & other savings, add in sign up bonuses, toggle annual fees and authorized user fees, and much more. You'll also be able to compare the results side by side any credit card featured on the site!

Results

Do note that results may take a few seconds to generate after doing a search. For more accurate results, I recommend using the Rewards Calculator. Some credit cards may appear in this list more than once if there's more than one path to transferring rewards. Credit cards with negative returns may also appear in this list, but be sure to consider the perks of the card before canceling it out as an option!
