Skywards Miles can be earned flying Emirates and flydubai. You can also earn miles flying partner airlines, booking other forms of travel, and spending with select retailers.

Flying Emirates & flydubai

Skywards Miles are earned every time you fly Emirates or flydubai. The amount of miles you earn are based on fare type, class, and tier (elite status). There are several fares you can choose from when flying Emirates or flydubai:

After you choose your fare, you will then earn a certain amount of miles based on the class of travel you choose. Those who aim for First Class and Business Class seats will earn the biggest bonus while those choosing to sit in Economy will receive a lower bonus.

Finally, your elite status in the Skywards program will grant an additional miles bonus. Each tier will give you a different percentage of bonus points:

Blue: No Bonus
Silver Members: 25% Bonus
Gold Members: 50% Bonus
Platinum Members: 75% Bonus

When flying Emirates or flydubai, you will also earn Tier Miles if the flight number starts with EK or FZ. Tier Miles are used to determine your elite status in the Skywards program and cannot be spent for flights and rewards. These miles are based on route, fare, and class.

Emirates Airline Partners

Emirates and flydubai are not part of any major airline alliance, but miles can be earned (and redeemed) across more than 10 different airlines. The amount of miles you earn on partner airlines will depends on the airline itself and the class flown on that partner airline. You'll earn as high as 1.5 miles per mile flown with most airlines though some offer more or less.

Emirates Skywards Miles can be earned with almost 20 different hotel partners. The amount of Skywards Miles you earn booking stays will vary by hotel. Most will offer you a set amount of miles per stay while others will allow you to earn per $1 spent. There are also a few hotel programs that allow you to transfer your hotel points directly to your Emirates Skywards account.
