The United MileagePlus Club Explorer Business Card is a solid choice for any business owner that wants to earn some extra United Miles while receiving a few benefits. It earns bonus miles on United airfare, restaurants, gas stations, and office supply stores. In addition to that, the Explorer Business Card offers a free checked bag, the chance to earn bonus miles based on spend, and priority boarding.

Sign Up Bonus (SUB)

The sign up bonus for the Chase United Business Explorer Credit Card sits at 50,000 United Miles after you spend $3,000 on purchases in the first 3 months. This worth around $500 to $600 on average but can be worth more or less depending on how much you value United Miles.

Annual Fee

The United Explorer Business Card has an annual fee of $0 for first year, then $95. If you use this card for the free checked bags perk, this card will pay for itself after a few flights. If you already receive free checked bags due to having United Premier Status or plan on using a different rewards card to earn more miles or a better return, this card may be harder to justify paying the annual fee.

Authorized User Fee

The authorized user fee for the United Explorer Business Card is $0. I would recommend adding employees (or friends/family) to help build your United Miles. This will also help in reaching the $25,000 spend for the 10,000 bonus miles.

Foreign Transaction Fee

The United Explorer Business Card has a foreign transaction fee of 0%. This allows you to use the Explorer Business Card worldwide and earn additional United Miles without being penalized a fee for transactions outside of the United States. Unfortuntely, this card doesn't offer much on non-category spend so you would want to consider the Chase Ultimate Rewards Program if you want to earn a good amount United Miles internationally.
