The personal and business Travel Rewards Card both offer a flat earning rate on all categories and double points on purchases made on the Bank of America Travel Portal.
Redeeming Rewards & Cash Value
Bank of America Points are worth 1 cents each and can be used for travel, gift cards, and cash back. You cannot transfer Bank of America points to other programs such as frequent flyer or hotel loyalty programs. The program is pretty straightforward.

Bank of America Travel Center
Travel Rewards Points used in the Bank of America Travel Center are worth 1 cents each. Since Travel Rewards Points aren't transferable, this is your only option when it comes to booking travel directly. The Bank of America Travel Center allows you to book flights, hotels, and car rentals. While this is another straightforward option, this is not the best use of points since you cannot double and triple dip rewards.
Bank of America Travel Rewards Points can be redeemed for gift cards for a value of 1 cents per point. Bank of America has a hefty amount of gift card options to choose from ranging from dining to entertainment to retail.
Bank of America Travel Rewards Points are valued at 1 cent apiece for cash redemptions. This is the best redemption method for using BOA Points since it allows you to double/triple dip on rewards.
For this example, lets say you have 30,000 Travel Rewards Points and you're looking to book a stay at a hotel that costs a total of $300. Redeeming your points directly on the Bank of America Travel Center would save you the full $300 since points are worth 1 cent each. You would pay nothing out of pocket and would also not earn any type of rewards.
Now lets say you use the Bank of America Travel Rewards Card to pay for your hotel either direct or through an online travel agency (OTA) using a cash back portal. Once the charge posts, you can use the same 30,000 points to wipe cover the $300 hotel cost, but you've now earned BOA Points on the booking, either hotel rewards points or points with the OTA, and cash back booking through the portal. Cash redemptions is the way to go.
