AMEX Blue Card

Review the benefits of the American Express Blue Card and calculate how many Membership Rewards Points you can earn based on your monthly/yearly spend.

The Blue card is at the low end of the Membership Reward Point earning credit cards offered by American Express. It has no real perks or benefits that puts it ahead of other cards in the AMEX point family. To me, it's more of an entry card for people who want to get there foot in the door with American Express.

Bonus Categories

The AMEX Blue Card earns a flat rate of Membership Rewards Points for all purchases. You will earn 1 Membership Reward Points per $1 spent. This is more of an entry level card if you're trying to get your foot in the door with American Express. Even still, I'd recommend going for the AMEX Everyday Card before going for this one.

The AMEX Blue Card annual fee is $0.

Authorized User Fee

There is no authorized user fee for the Blue Card.

Foreign Transaction Fee

The AMEX Blue Card has a foreign transaction fee of 2.7%. That fee is higher than the rewards this card offers. Using this card overseas would wipe away your rewards in a Thanos snap.

and Card Value Calculator

You can use this rewards calculator to calculate how many points, miles, or cash back you can earn based on your spend per category. This calculator will also give you the dollar value of the card based on rewards earned and how much each benefit is worth to you minus the fees. All category spend entered in the primary card's column will carry over to all credit card pages on the site so you don't have to re-enter the same information over again.
