Best Credit Cards For Best Buy Spend

A list of the best credit cards for Best Buy purchases based on your spend, pulled from a database of 250+ cards. Compare results side by side.

Best Buy features all the gadgets, appliances, and electronics you could ever want including TVs, phones, sound systems, video games, computers, refrigerators, and more. It's very easy to spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars within a Best Buy store, so you'll want to make sure you're getting the best bang for your buck.

The best return for your spend at Best Buy will come from using the Best Buy Visa or Best Buy Store Card. Both of these cards earn a 5% return on Best Buy purchases and have no annual fee. There's no tricks or complex earning and redeeming structure either. If you shop at Best Buy consistently, one of these cards should be in your wallet.

If you don't want a card with Best Buy, a decent choice is the Bank of America Cash Rewards Card. It earns between 3% and 5.25% back when shopping online. This will benefit you if you frequently shop at bestbuy.com versus in-store.

If you're looking to earn rewards points with AMEX, Chase, or Citi, the usual cards that offer a 1.5x-2x earning will give you a solid return. This includes the AMEX Blue Business Plus, the Chase Freedom Unlimited or Chase Ink Business Unlimited, and the Citi Double Cash.

Lastly, you can always use a 2% cash back credit card to run your spend across. This includes cards such as the PayPal Cashback Mastercard and Citi Double Cash.

Adjust Transferable Points

Some rewards programs allow you to transfer your earned points to airline, hotel, and other loyalty programs. These programs will generally have higher point values when doing such. Since these matter so much when choosing a credit card, you can enter your own point value for these programs to include in the calculations. You can set any of the currencies listed below to 0 to calculate based on the non-transfer value (in which most are 1 cent per point with the exception of Chase's 1.25/1.5 cent redemptions).
When transferring to other programs, you should be able to get 1 to 2 cents in value for most of the programs listed below, so I defaulted most to a low average of 1.5 cents. You can click on the to learn more about the value of the currency (opens in a new tab/window).
