Best Western Transfer Partners

Point Transfer Calculator

Get the list of Best Western transfer partners, the details on those partners, and calculate the transfer of Best Western points to airline miles.

Best Western Points can be transferred to over 15 different airline partners across all three alliances as well as a few airlines that aren't part of any alliance. If you're short a few miles and looking to top off your frequent flyer account, Best Western Points can be useful, but it will cost you a large amount of points.

Best Western Transfer Partners

Best Western Points transfer to more than 10 airline partners. This gives you more ways to build miles in these programs by staying at Best Western hotels and using their co-branded credit cards. You can enter any amount of Best Western Points below to see how much you will earn when transferred to each airline program.

Best Western SkyTeam Alliance Partners

Best Western Rewards Points transfers to four SkyTeam airlines. Those airlines are:

  • Aeromexico Airlines
  • Air France
  • Alitalia Air
  • KLM

There's no SkyTeam partner listed in which you couldn't earn more miles using one of the major rewards programs. Best Western Rewards Points can be used to top off your account if you're a few miles short, but I recommend saving them for free nights at Best Western brand hotel.

Best Western Oneworld Alliance Partners

Best Western Rewards Points transfers to four oneworld airlines. Those airlines are:

  • American Airlines
  • British Airways
  • Cathay Pacific
  • Iberia

American Airlines AAdvantage Miles are a little harder to earn through point transfers due to all of their direct transfer partners being hotel loyalty programs. Transferring your Best Western Points to your AAdvantage account could be helpful for topping off your account. If you're looking to earn a small bundle of AAdvantage Miles, you'll want to look into transferring Marriott Bonvoy Points to your airline account.

The three remaining airlines all allow you to transfer points to their frequent flyer program using at least one major rewards program.

Best Western Star Alliance Partners

Best Western Rewards points can be transferred to four airlines that are part of the Star Alliance. Those airlines are:

  • Air Canada
  • Asiana Airlines
  • Avianca
  • Lufthansa

Transferring Best Western Rewards Points to these airlines can be useful for topping off your account, but as with the other alliances you'll be better off earning miles using the major rewards programs.

Other Best Western Programs

Best Western Rewards is one of the few programs that transfers to Canada AIR MILES. This makes it a decent choice in the case you need to top off your account. IHG Rewards Club is the only other major program that transfers to AIR MILES.

Similar to American Airlines, Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan Miles can be hard to earn due to having all hotel loyalty programs as transfer partners. If you're a few miles short of a redemption on Alaska, transferring Best Western Points to top off your Mileage Plan account can be useful.

Best Western Rewards Points can be transferred to Vueling. Vueling is part of the Avios Rewards program, but many of the airlines under this program has different earning and redemption options. If you're in need of topping off your Vueling Club account, Best Western is your best (and only) option.

How To Transfer Points To Airline Partners

Best Western makes it easy to transfer your Best Western Points into frequent flyer miles with your favorite airlines.

  1. Head over to the Best Western website.
  2. Click Log-In and log into your Best Western Account.
  3. Once logged in, click on My Account and go to Redeem Points.
  4. Scroll down towards the bottom of the page and click on Airline Rewards.
  5. Find the airline you want to transfer points to, select a quantity, and hit Add To Cart.
  6. Once done, click on Checkout.
  7. Review the order summary and hit Submit.

How fast your points post will depend on the program. If you're looking to earn AAdvantage Miles immediately, Best Western may not be the best option and you might find that buying AAdvantage Miles will be the quicker (but more expensive) choice.

Transfer Points To Best Western

Best Western Points is a direct transfer partner of the Diners Club Club Rewards program. This is the only way to accumulate Best Western Points outside of the Best Western Rewards Program when it comes to point transfers.

Best Western Rewards Points has a pretty decent transfer ratio for all of their partners. Transferring Best Western Points when you're a few miles short of an award can be helpful though I wouldn't rely on earning points for the sake of transferring them to partners. You'll still get the best value out of your Best Western Points when using them for free nights at Best Western brand hotels.
