World of Hyatt membership has a 4-tier program which consists of Member, Discoverist, Explorist, and Globalist. How To Qualify

Each level of World of Hyatt elite status requires you to meet certain qualifications during the calendar year based on nights stayed at Hyatt brand hotels, base points earned, or meetings/events hosted with Hyatt.

Once you meet the requirements of any given World of Hyatt membership tier, you'll receive the benefits offered by that tier for the remainder of the calendar year in which it was earned and all of the following year. Every calendar year, you will need to re-qualify for elite status by meeting the same requirements.

When you sign up for a free World of Hyatt account, you will automatically become a member. This grants you access to a few small benefits that can be worth it if you want to save a little money and earn some points.

As World of Hyatt member, you will receive a 10% discount when booking hotels directly with Hyatt. This is an excellent way to shave off the cost of your Hyatt stay and one of the best starting reasons for signing up for an account.

Earn & Redeem Points

With a World of Hyatt account, you'll be able to earn Hyatt Points booking stays at Hyatt brand hotels as well as with partners. You'll earn 10% bonus Hyatt Points on the base points earned on eligible room rates and incidental charges incurred during your stay at Hyatt hotel and resorts, Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH), and MGM Resorts. With Base Points included, this gives you a total of 5.5 Hyatt Points per $1 spent.

M Life Pearl Status

As a Hyatt Discoverist member, you will be able to match your status to MGM M Life Rewards Pearl which is the second tier in MGM's loyalty program. It offers a nice amount of benefits which includes bonus points at slot machines, invitations to members-only events, and discounts on hotel rooms.

Premium Internet

You'll receive premium internet as a Hyatt Discoverist member. This is a slightly faster service of internet than what is given to basic Hyatt members.

Bottled Water

Upgrade To Preferred Rooms

Room Upgrades

30% Bonus Points

Hyatt Globalist status will grant you the biggest boost of 30% bonus points. This gives you a total of 6.5 Hyatt Points per $1 spent. Waived Resort Fees

All Hyatt members receive waived resort fees on award nights, but as a Hyatt Globalist member you will receive waived resort fees on eligible rates as well. If your frequently stay at Hyatt Resorts, this benefit can save you a significant amount of money.

When you check in as a Hyatt Globalist member, you will have the chance to receive a complimentary room upgrade which includes standard suites.

4pm Late Check-Out

You'll be able to check out even later as a Hyatt Globalist member. You can check out at 4pm, upon request when staying at Hyatt brand hotels. Do note that this benefit does not apply to Hyatt Residence Club resorts.

Club Access or Breakfast

Relax in the Club Lounge and enjoy continental breakfast as well as evening hors d'oeuvres daily as a Hyatt Globalist member. For Hyatt's that do not have a Club lounge, you can enjoy complimentary full breakfast daily for registered guests (up to 2 adults and 2 children).

Free Parking on Free Nights

You'll feel like you're playing Monopoly with free parking on award nights as a Hyatt Globalist member. Parking at some hotels can be quite expensive, so not having to pay for parking on an already free stay is great.

Priority Access To Rooms

When checking into your Hyatt hotel early, you'll receive priority access to available rooms. This can get you in your hotel sooner over those who do not have Hyatt Globalist status.

Guest of Honor

When a Globalist member gifts a free night award to another person, that recipient will be treated as a 'Guest of Honor'. The recipient will receive all the in-hotel benefits that would have normally been provided to the Globalist member. This benefit does not apply for those staying at Hyatt Residence Club resorts.

Hyatt Lifetime Globalist

Hyatt Milestone Rewards

Milestone Rewards are separate from elite status and are available to everyone. They're based on the number of nights you stay or base points you earn during the calendar year. Rewards include bonus points, free night awards, suite upgrade awards, and more.

20 Nights or 35,000 Base Points

This milestone offers 2 Club Lounge Access awards which can be applied to your stay for lounge access.

30 Nights or 50,000 Base Points

This milestone gives you 1 Category 1-4 Free Night Award and 2 Club Lounge Access Awards. The Free Night Award is similar to the one given annually on the Chase World of Hyatt Credit Card.

40 Nights or 65,000 Base Points

This milestone gives you the choice between one of the three following benefits:

50 Nights or 80,000 Base Points

This Hyatt Milestone Reward offers 2 Suite Upgrade Awards in which you can apply to your stay to be upgraded to a suite.

This Hyatt Milestone Reward offers 1 Category 1-7 Free Night Award, 2 Suite Upgrade Awards, and access to My Hyatt Concierge. The Free Night Award included in this milestone by itself can be worth hundreds of dollars.

70, 80, 90, and 100 Nights

Starting at 70 nights and for every 10 nights after that, up to 100 nights total, you'll be able to choose between:

  • 1 Suite Upgrade Award

You cannot earn these additional milestones with Hyatt Base Points.
