Earning Citi Points: Citi ThankYou points are earned using eligible Citi credit cards. For every $1 you spend across these cards, you will earn 1 ThankYou point along with bonus points based on any multipliers the card has.
Redeeming Citi Points: ThankYou Rewards points can be redeemed for travel, cash back, gift cards, and merchandise. Points can also be transferred to Citi's airline and hotel partners.
Citi Point Value: Based on our analysis, ThankYou Rewards points are worth 1 cent each on average meaning that 10,000 points are worth $100 in value. Point values can range anywhere from 0.5 cents to 2 cents or more per point depending on the redemption.

Citi ThankYou points can be redeemed for travel booked through Citi's travel portal at a value of 1 cent per point.
Point transfers to Citi's partners
Citi ThankYou points can be transferred to over 15 travel partners if you have the Citi Premier Card or Citi Prestige Card. You can expect anywhere from 1.2 cents to 2 cents in value per point when transferring to airline partners and around 0.6 cents to 1 cent in value per point when transferring to hotel partners.
Gift cards
Citi offers a wide range of gift card options through their ThankYou Rewards portal. Redemptions start at 2,500 points and will give your ThankYou points a value of 1 cent per point.
Cash back and statement credits
The value you get out of redeeming ThankYou points for cash back will range from 0.5 to 1 cent in value depending on which Citi credit cards you have.
Citi transfer partners
Citi ThankYou points will have the best value when transferred to Citi's airline and hotel partners. In order to be able to transfer points to all of Citi's partners, you must own the Citi Premier Card or Citi Prestige Card* (*currently unavailable) which are considered Citi's premium credit cards.

Lower-tier cards can only transfer points to a small handful select partners and those partners are at a worse ratio than those offered with Citi's premium credit cards. Luckily, as long as you hold the Citi Premier Card or Citi Prestige Card, you will be able to combine ThankYou Rewards points earned with lower-tier cards.

Citi ThankYou points can be earned using a handful of Citi credit cards. The value that you'll be able to get out of your ThankYou points depends on which credit cards you own. Here's the breakdown:
Citi Premier® Card
Intro bonus: Earn 60,000 bonus ThankYou® Points after you spend $4,000 in purchases within the first 3 months of account opening. Plus, for a limited time, earn a total of 10 ThankYou® Points per $1 spent on hotel, car rentals, and attractions (excluding air travel) booked on the Citi Travel℠ portal through June 30, 2024.
Rewards rate: Earns 3X points on restaurant, supermarket, gas station, hotel, and air travel, and 1X points on everything else.
Card highlights: Annual $100 credit on any $500+ hotel stay booked through the Thankyou.com portal and full access to all of Citi's travel partners at the best ratios.
Citi Premier points value: 1 cent when redeemed for travel through Citi, but can be worth as much as 2 cents or more when transferred to Citi's partners. Cash back redemptions offer a weak 0.5 cents per point. Points earned with lower-tier cards can be transferred to the Citi Premier which makes it pair well with all ThankYou Rewards credit card cards.

Card highlights: Purchases are rounded up to the nearest 10 and card offers a 10% point rebate when you use points.
Citi Rewards+ points value: Points are worth 1 cent each when redeemed for travel and cash back redemptions offer a low 0.5 cents per point. Points can be transferred to a select few partners at a decent ratio. Card doesn't stand well on it's own, but is great when paired with the Citi Premier Card.
