AAdvantage transfer partners

American Airlines is a direct transfer partner of several programs. This includes a handful of hotel rewards programs and one U.S. credit card rewards program.

Here's the full list of American Airlines transfer partners:

Of these partners, Bilt Rewards is currently the best option... but do note that their partership with AAdvantage will end sometime around June 2024.

Once that partnership ends (and assuming no one else steps in), Marriott will go back to being the best option for earning AAdvantage miles... especially if you frequent Marriott hotels and use their credit cards to pay for your stay.

Bilt Rewards to AAdvantage

Bilt Rewards points can be transferred to AAdvantage at a 1:1 ratio. This means every 1,000 Bilt Rewards points you transfer will give you 1,000 AAdvantage miles.

Bilt offers one credit card that you can use to quickly build Bilt Rewards points on everyday spending including paying rent!

Credit Card Highlights

Marriott Bonvoy to AAdvantage

Marriott Bonvoy points can be transferred to AAdvantage at a 3:1 ratio. This means every 3,000 points you transfer to your AAdvantage account will give you 1,000 miles.

This is a solid earning rate considering that you can earn up to 23.5 points per $1 spending with Marriott hotels between base points, elite status points, and point earned using co-branded Marriott credit cards.

So if you fly AAdvantage often and pair that with being loyal to Marriott, you can earn a significant amount of miles.
