Amplify Points are worth between 0.45 cents and 0.6 cents when you redeem them directly through the Amplify Rewards portal. Higher point values can be obtained when you transfer your points to airline partners and redeem them for air travel.
Redeeming Amplify Points
Amplify Points have an average value of between 0.45 and 0.6 cents when you redeem them through the Amplify Rewards portal.
Amplify Points can be redeemed for physical and electronic Gift Cards through the Amplify Rewards Portal at a value of roughly 0.45 cents per point. Available denominations will depend on the gift card. Below are the redemptions based on denomination for most of the available gift cards.
|$20 Gift Card||4,440 - 4,560|
|$50 Gift Card||11,100 - 11,400|
|$100 Gift Card||22,200 - 22,800|
|$200 Gift Card||44,400 - 45,600|
|$250 Gift Card||55,500 - 57,000|
Amplify Points can be donated to a handful of charities and non-profit organizations. Donations will give your points a value of around 0.6 cents per point. They start as low as 3,350 points for a $20 donation.
Annual Fee Rebate
You can use your Amplify Points to pay for your card's annual fee. This will give your points a value of 0.55 cent per point.
- $79 Amplify Visa Card Fee - 14,400 Points
- $99 Amplify Platinum Visa Card Fee - 18,000 Points
You can redeem Amplify Points towards a wide selection of merchandise through the Amplify Rewards portal. This includes the categories of:
- Fashion & Beauty
- Sports, DIY, & Outdoors
- Travel Accessories
The value you get out of these kind of redemptions will depend on the retail price of the item itself. Redeeming points for merchandise will typically give you the least average value when compared to other redemptions, but there are sometimes hidden gems buried amongst the catalog.
If you have something in mind that you plan on buying, it wouldn't hurt to check the catalogue to see if it's offered and if it's a good value.
Entertainment & Experiences
Amplify Points can be put towards a number of entertainment and experience options. The value you get from these type of redemptions will vary, but these are usually special events in which the experience is usually worth more than the point value (for most people at least). This includes things such as cooking classes with chefs, swimming with Dolphins, and more.
Transferring Amplify Points
Amplify Points can be transferred to a small handful of airline partners.
The transfer ratio for all three airlines are 2:1 meaning that every 2 Amplify Points transferred will give you 1 airline mile. You must transfer a minimum of 3,000 Amplify Points with additional increments in multiples of 500 Amplify Points at a time.
Transferring your Amplify Points to partners will typically give you significantly more value than redeeming them through the Amplify Rewards portal for gift cards, charity, and merchandise. This is because you can usually get more than 1 cent in value out of airline miles.
For example, the cheapest flight I found from Sydney to Singapore on Singapore Airlines in May 2021 costs around AU$1,129 round-trip. That same trip would cost you 55,000 KrisFlyer Miles. In order to obtain 55,000 KrisFlyer Miles from the Amplify Rewards Program, you would need to transfer 110,000 Amplify Points.
So all-in-all, you would be redeeming 110,000 Amplify Points for AU$1,129 in value which would give your points a value of 1 cents each. This is significantly higher than anything in the portal.
If you're lucky enough to net a SAVER Award (which they had availability for other days), you would get a value 2 cents per Amplify Points which is exceptional.
