Ways to redeem Altitude Rewards points
You will generally get the best value of Altitude Rewards points when transferring them to airline partners. Points can also be redeemed for cash back, gift cards, merchandise, and more for lower value.
Altitude Transfer Partners
Transferring Altitude points to partners will generally give your points the best value. Points can be transferred to Air New Zealand Airpoints, Cathay Pacific Asia Miles, Singapore KrisFlyer, and Virgin Australia Velocity.
Virgin Australia Velocity and Singapore KrisFlyer can give your points higher-than-average value, but there's sweet spots that can be found in all four airlines.
Altitude Travel
Altitude Rewards points can be used to book travel through Westpac. This includes flights, hoetls, activities, car hire and more. You can also mix and match travel to create your own travel package.
The value you receive from either of these will depend on the travel you're booking. Vacation packages booked through Altitude Travel can yield some great results as I've seen some examples across the internet that gives 1 to 3 cents or more in value.
Gift Cards
Altitude Rewards Points can be redeemed towards gift cards which will give you up to 0.46 cents in value per point. Gift cards include a range of stores including David Jones, Myer, Woolworths, and many more.
Both physical and eGift cards are available through the Altitude Rewards portal.
Cashback Redemptions
Altitude Rewards points can be redeemed for cash back starting at 14,100 points for $50 in cash back. This will give your points a value of 0.35 cents apiece.

Merchandise
Altitude Rewards Points can be redeemed towards merchandise in the Altitude Store. The value you get out of this redemption will vary, but most items that I priced out offered between 0.3 cents and 0.35 cents per point.
That being said, there are usually some hidden gems that can be found when redeeming points towards merchandise. Checking out the prices in the Altitude Store is not a bad idea, but just remember that you can always purchase the item with your card and redeem your points for cashback at a set value of 0.35 cents per point.
Mortgage fee discount
You can redeem your Altitude Rewards Points towards a rebate on your Westpac mortgage fees. You can use your points to pay off all or part of monthly loan maintenance fees or package fees. Redemptions start at 9,600 Altitude Points and this can only be done by phone.
Annual fee rebate
If you want to apply your Altitude Rewards Points towards your annual fee, you can do so. Redemptions must be made in $25, $75, $100, $125, or $150 increments.
Donations to charity
If you're in a giving mood, you can donate your Altitude Rewards Points to charity. Charities include Cancer Council Australia, Westpac Rescue Helicopter, and Surf Life Saving Australia.
