Credit Card Rewards Calculators
The Qantas Points Calculators will calculate how many Qantas Points you can earn based on your monthly/yearly spend across categories. Each calculator will also output the cash value of the card based on your spend, how much you value the benefits of each card, and any annual fees the card may have.

You can compare the results side by side any credit cards featured on the site to find out which earns you the most rewards and the best return. All spend entered (primary/first column only) will carry over to all credit card calculators on the website.
Qantas Credit Card Calculators
Qantas has over 50 credit cards for you to choose from ranging across most major bank programs. Finding the best card will come down to your spend habits along with the benefits you're looking for in a card. Since this program has so many credit cards, this section is broken into sub-categories by bank.
American Express
AMEX holds four co-branded Qantas credit cards along with two David Jones credit cards in which you can opt in to earn Qantas Points instead of Membership Rewards Points.
ANZ
ANZ offers three levels of Qantas Frequent Flyer Visa cards. The Black Card has the highest annual fee, but offers a great return along with bonus points when you spend more than $7,000 per statement, complimentary Qantas Frequent Flyer membership, lounge passes for Qantas Lounge access, and superb travel and purchase insurance. The Platinum Card is a step down, but still offers a solid return and great travel and purchase insurance. The ANZ Frequent Flyer Card is the lowest on the totem pole and earns the lowest amount of points and offers the least value out of the three since it still has an annual fee.
BoM, BankSA, & St. George
Bank of Melbourne, BankSA, and St. George all share the same Amplify rewards program. They offer three Amplify Rewards Visa cards that earns a flat rate of Qantas Points on all purchases. The Visa Signature Card offers 0.75 points per $1, two annual Qantas Lounge passes, and great travel/purchase insurance. The Visa Platinum offers a lower 0.5x points per $1 and the same great travel/purchase insurance. The Visa offers the same 0.5x points per $1 and features no real benefits, but has the lowest annual fee in the bunch.

The World Mastercard earns 1 point per $1 spent on the first $5,000 in purchases while the Platinum Mastercard earns 0.75 points per $1 spent on the first $2,500 in purchases. The business card earns a flat rate and allows you to earn up to 400,000 Qantas Points per year and also grants complimentary Qantas Frequent Flyer membership for cardholders.

The BusinessChoice Rewards Platinum Card is a solid option for any business looking to earn a flat rate of Qantas Points on all purchases and receive superb travel insurance on top of that.
Redeeming Rewards & Cash Value

Qantas Points Value Calculator
Use the Qantas Points Value Calculator to calculate the average cash value of your Qantas Points based on the redemption options listed. Average values (denoted by '~') are based on how much The Point Calculator values that redemption after doing some testing and number crunching. You can enter any amount of points in the field below.
Flying Qantas and Partners
Redeeming your Qantas Points for award flights on Qantas and Oneworld Partners will typically give you the best value. Qantas has their own Qantas Points Calculator to help you calculate the distance and cost in Qantas Points flying between two cities. Just remember that you will still have to pay taxes, fees, and carrier charges when redeeming your points. You'll also want to watch out for airlines that have high surcharges like British Airways.
You can redeem your Qantas Points on flights with the following airlines:
- Qantas
- Air France
- Air New Zealand
- Air Niugini
- Air Tahiti Nui
- Air Vanuatu
- Aircalin
- Airnorth
- Alaska Airlines
- American Airlines
- British Airways
- Cathay Pacific
- China Airlines
- China Eastern
- EL AL
- Emirates
- Fiji Airways
- Finnair

- KLM
- LATAM

- Qatar Airways
- Royal Air Maroc

Classic Reward Flights
The absolute best value will come from redeeming your points for Classic Reward flights. This will give you a lot more value than you would get when booking a standard award flight. Take this trip from Sydney to Perth for example.

This flight would cost you A$391 if you were to pay cash or 18,000 points plus pay $36 if you were to book an Economy Classic Reward. This redemption would give your Qantas Points a value of 1.97 cents per point which is great! Generally, short-haul flights in and around Australia and New Zealand will give you pretty good value when it comes to booking Classic Rewards.
Here's a round-trip flight that offers both Economy and Business Classic Reward space.

The economy flight that costs A$526 would cost you 20,300 Qantas Points plus A$71 giving your points a value of 2.24 cents each while the business class flight that costs A$2,531 would cost you 57,000 Qantas Points plus A$71 giving you points an excellent value of 4.31 cents each.
Here's another example flying from Brisbane, Australia to Auckland, New Zealand.

This booking would give you a value of 1.1 cents per point which isn't bad. This is probably the lowest I would recommend redeeming Qantas Points for if you're looking to get the best value out of your points.
Good value isn't just for short-haul trips. You can find good value in long distance trips as well. Here's a flight from Sydney, Australia to Los Angeles, California, United States.

When compared to the sale price of $757, redeeming 41,900 Qantas Points along with paying $147 in taxes/fees would give your points a value of 1.45 cents per point which is great.
Standard Redemptions
Standard redemptions will give your points a value of around 0.64 cents per point on average. This is a lot lower in value when compared to Classic Reward Flights. Here's the cost of standard redemptions for the flight from Brisbane to Dubai.

This same flight that would cost you 50,300 Qantas Points plus A$181 as a Classic Reward would cost you a whopping 108,100 Qantas Points as a standard redemption. This would give your points a value of 0.65 cents per point.
I highly recommend sticking to Classic Reward redemptions whenever possible in order to maximize the value of your Qantas Points. When booking your flights and looking at the list of results, you can toggle the option to view Classic Rewards only.
Qantas Hotels
You can redeem your Qantas Points on the Qantas Hotels portal for stays at hotels around the world. This will give your points a value of around 0.75 cents per point. There's a few hotels that have promotional pricing or are listed as a classic reward. These bookings can give your Qantas Points a little bit more value than the basic redemptions.

Vacation/Holiday Packages
Qantas Points can be redeemed for holiday packages through both Luxury Escapes and APT Holidays. Redemptions for these both start at 4,000 points for a A$20 discount which gives your points a value of 0.5 cents.
Car Rentals
You can redeem Qantas Points for rentals with both Avis and Budget car rental. Booking car rentals using Qantas Points will give you around 0.64 cents in value.
Shopping & Merchandise
Redeeming your Qantas Points for merchandise will typically give you a pretty low value. The actual value you'll get depends on what you're redeeming your points for. You have a pretty large amount of redemption options to choose from including, but not limited to:
- Apple
- Bose
- Dyson
- FitBit
- Garmin
- LG
- Samsung
- Sony
- Tefal
- Weber
Points can be redeemed through the Qantas Store.
