How This Tool Works

Input Your Monthly & Yearly Spend

Estimate how much you plan on spending monthly and yearly across your rewards credit cards and enter those values into the tool by category.

You can add categories using () as well as remove categories as you see fit.

There's no limit to the amount of categories you can add to the tool, so be sure to cover all the categories that you spend most in every year.

Get Results

Once you click search, the tool will go through each of our partner credit cards, estimate total points, miles, or cash back, and calculate the overall average card value based on those rewards, annual credits, and annual fees.

The tool will output up to 10 credit cards for each of the credit card categories listed which includes travel, cash back, no annual fee, and several other popular card types.

When applicable, it will also show the current intro bonus for the card which is calculated in the results only if the criteria has been met. Intro bonuses can also be turned off if you want to calculate card value for the second year and onward.

You can click on Learn More to get additional details about the card in a new window through our partners. That way you can browse the benefits of any cards that you're interested in without worry about losing your search results.

Breakdown & Deeper Dive

Click on the total rewards or card value for any of the cards to get a breakdown of how everything was calculated. It will also display some additional information along with links to learn more about the rewards the card earns.

You'll also be able to jump to the card's Rewards Calculator to calculate rewards on an even deeper level including the ability to change point/mile values, change the cash value of annual benefits, specify authorized users, and compare up to two credit cards from any issuer side-by-side.
