The Alaska Airlines Visa Business Card is a carbon copy of the personal Alaska Airlines Card. It earns triple miles on purchases made with Alaska Airlines, offers an annual companion pass, and cardholders receive their first checked bag free. It's a great business card for anyone that flies Alaska Airlines a few times a year.
The Alaska Airlines Business Card features only one bonus category which is Alaska Airlines purchases. There is no limit to the amount of MileagePlan miles you can earn using this business card. The Alaska Airlines Business Card earning structure is explained in detail below.
3x Alaska Airlines
The Alaska Airlines Business Card earns 3 MileagePlan Miles per $1 spent on Alaska Airlines purchases. This includes Alaska Airline tickets, in-flight food and beverage purchases, and cargo purchases billed by Alaska Airlines and directly through Alaska Airlines. Virgin America purchases also fall under this category. This includes Virgin America tickets and in-flight purchases. Alaska Airlines Vacation packages used for business are also eligible and must be booked directly with Alaska Airlines as well.
Since Alaska MileagePlan Miles are worth about 1.5 cents each, earning triple miles is an excellent return. This is one of the best returns you can get when it comes to Alaska Airlines purchases. A few other airlines offer triple miles for their respective airline such as the Business Hawaiian Airlines Mastercard. The JetBlue Business Card earns 6x miles per $1 spent!
The Alaska Airlines Business Card earns 1 MileagePlan Miles for all non-Alaska Airlines purchases. This is still a solid return of about 1.5% which is good. If your main goal is to accumulate MileagePlan Miles, this is the card to use to build your balance.
Bonus Alaska Airlines MileagePlan Miles can be earned using your Alaska Airlines card at select restaurants. The full list of restaurants can be found on the MileagePlan Rewards Network Page.
