Flying Blue Miles can purchased from the Flying Blue Buy Miles page. The standard cost of buying Flying Blue Miles €0.0275 per mile. You can buy as little as 2,000 miles for €55 or as many as 75,000 miles for €2,062.50.
The primary reason for buying Flying Blue Miles is to top off your account if you're a few miles short of a redemption. This should only be done if transferring points to your account is not an option. Outside of that, buying Flying Blue Miles at such a high rate will usually not be worth it unless you can redeem them for more than what you paid for them. Flying Blue Miles do go on sale several times per year. If you're short on miles or want to purchase a little more than "a few" miles, you'll want to do it during one of their 'Buy Points' promotions.
Do note that you can buy, gift, and transfer Flying Blue Miles from the same page.
