Lufthansa Miles & More Award Miles can be earned by transferring rewards accumulated in partner programs directly to your Miles & More account. This is a solid option for topping off your account if you're a few miles short of a redemption.

Transfer Rewards To Miles & More

Several hotel programs are direct transfer partners of the Miles & More program. This allows you to earn additional miles in Lufthansa's program by staying at these hotels, earning elite status, and using co-branded hotel credit cards. You can enter any amount of Miles & More Miles in the field below to see how many rewards it equals in the partnering program.

Shangri-La Hotels

Out of all the transfer partners, Shangri-La has the best transfer ratio of 1:1. Unfortunately, if you're looking to book a hotel in the United States, you're out of luck as their closest two locations are in Toronto and Vancover, Canada. On top of that, there are no Shangri-La credit cards for those based in the United States. The easiest way outside of locating one of their hotels is to use their travel partners.

Remaining Brands

The remaining hotel partners will not get you anywhere in terms of earning a continuous amount of points. At most, you'll be able to top off your Miles and More account if you're a few points shy of a redemption.

Earning Miles With Partner Credit Cards

All of the credit cards listed in the table below allow you to earn rewards and transfer them directly to your Miles & More Account. This gives you alternative ways to earn rewards through spend and sign up bonuses. The earning rates listed are based on the transfer ratio when converting rewards to Miles & More Award Miles. Remember you can use the Search By Currency function on the homepage to find lists of cards that earn rewards with specific programs!

The card section above is scrollable.

Earning On Everyday Spend

Unfortunately, none of the major bank programs transfer to the Miles and More program. This leaves you with no good option on collecting Miles and More award miles through everyday spend. Your best bet is to use the Miles and More Mastercard. You can use the Barclays Miles and More Card Calculator to calculate how many miles you can earn based on your monthly/yearly spend.

Earning With Sign Up Bonuses

With none of the major bank programs or Marriott transferring to the Miles and More program, you're not left with many options. The best sign up bonus you can squeeze out of partner cards would be the 24,000 Miles out of the World of Hyatt credit card's 60,000-poing sign up bonus.

Other Ways To Earn

Outside of topping off your account, you will not get much from these transfer partners. Your best bet on earning miles is to either use the Barclays Miles and More Mastercard or earn miles using their many travel partners.
