Status Credits count towards achieving elite status within the Frequent Flyer Program. You can earn points and status credit flying the following airlines:
- American Airlines
- British Airways

- Cathay Pacific

Qantas Hotel Partners
Qantas Frequent Flyer members can earn additional Qantas Points booking hotels through the Qantas Hotels and Airbnb Portal, booking directly through the hotel and setting your earning preference to Qantas Frequent Flyer, or by transferring hotel points directly to Qantas.
While opting to receive Qantas Miles directly is the easy route, it will usually short you valuable miles and points if you are loyal to a specific brand and have elite status with that brand. Earning points directly is more for those who stay at all types of hotel brands and want all their rewards to go to Qantas and not be scattered amongst multiple hotel programs. Another benefit to earning hotel points directly is that most hotel programs features many airline transfer partners. Opting to receive your hotel points as normal will give you the option to transfer points to Qantas or any other airline when there is a need to do so. This allows more flexibility with your points.
