Qatar Airways does not offer any co-branded credit cards for U.S.-based customers. Luckily, there are several rewards programs that allow you to transfer your earned rewards directly to your Qatar Privileges Club account. This allows you to easily build Qmiles using everyday credit card spend and partner sign up bonuses.
Transferring Rewards To Qatar Qmiles
Transferring points earned in partnering programs to Qatar Airways Privileges Club is going to be the best approach to those in the U.S. looking to earn Qmiles. Qatar doesn't have a bunch of direct transfer partners, but they do have several solid options that are great for earning on everyday spend as well as through nice-sized sign up bonuses. You can use the Qatar Transfer Calculator below to calculate the transfer of points in other programs to Qmiles. The calculator will output how many points/rewards are needed in the partner programs that will equal the amount of Qmiles you specified.
Accor Hotel Points transfers to Qatar Qmiles at a 2:1 ratio. Accor points are easily worth 2 cents each (Euro) when redeemed towards stays at Accor brand hotels. There are no U.S.-based Accor Hotel credit cards, so you will have to do all of your point earning staying at Accor Hotels and using their travel partners.
Capital One Rewards

Citi ThankYou Rewards
Citi ThankYou Rewards is one of the major rewards programs in the United States. ThankYou Points transfers to Qatar Qmiles at a superb 1:1 ratio. This opens up the ability to earn 2 to 5 Qmiles per $1 spent across the categories of travel, dining, entertainment, supermarket, and gas purchases. As of September 2019, cash back earned with the Citi Double Cash can be turned into ThankYou Points at a 1 cent for 1 point ratio. This gives you a total of 4 Citi Cards you can use to build your Qmiles.
Hilton Honors points transfers to Qatar Qmiles at a 10:1 ratio. Due to this rather unfavorable ratio, Hilton Honors Points are not the best for transferring to partners. At most, they can be used to top off your Privileges Club account if you're short a few Qmiles. Hilton Honors Points are better used for free nights at Hilton brand hotels in which you can get a value of around 0.6 cents per Hilton point.
World of Hyatt
Hyatt Points transfers to Qatar Qmiles at a 2.5:1 ratio. Hyatt also throws in 5,000 bonus miles for every 50,000 Hyatt Points you transfer to their airline partners. Hyatt members earn at a base rate of 5 points per $1 spent with the ability to earn up to 10.5 points when you combine elite status and the Hyatt credit card. Citi ThankYou Points transfers to Qatar Qmiles at a 1:1 ratio which opens up four great credit card options for easy earning.
The Citi Prestige earns 5x on airfare and dining while also offering 3x on cruise line and hotel purchases. It also features a standard 50,000-point sign up bonus that's equal to 50,000 Qmiles when transferred.
Citi ThankYou Premier
The Citi ThankYou Premier earns 3x on gas station and general travel purchases which makes this a great card for any traveler looking to earning Qmiles. The Premier also features a standard sign up bonus of 50,000 points.
Citi Rewards+ Card
The Citi Rewards+ Card earns 2x on supermarket and gas station purchases, but what makes it noticeable is the round-up feature the card has. Points earned from purchases on the card will be rounded up to the nearest tenth. This allows you to earn lots of points off of purchases that slightly crosses the threshold of a tenth. So instead of earning 1 point for a $0.99 coffee, you would earn 10 points with the round-up benefit.
Citi Double Cash
As of September 2019, cash back earned with the Citi Double Cash Card can be converted to ThankYou Points. You will need to own either the Chairman, Prestige, or Premier in order to redeem those points with Qatar and their other airline partners. Without those three cards, you will only be able to transfer to JetBlue Airways.
The Marriott Bonvoy credit cards are essential for anyone looking to max out their earnings with Marriott as well as acquire some easy points from sign up bonuses.
Marriott Brilliant Card
The Marriott Brilliant Card features promotional sign up bonuses as high as 120,000 Marriott Bonvoy Points. When transferred to Qatar (in two 60,000-point increments), that's worth 50,000 Qmiles. The card boasts a high annual fee of $450, but the benefits offered by the card (including the $300 Marriott Credit) easily offsets the value without too much effort.
Marriott Business AMEX & Chase Marriott Boundless
Both the Marriott Business AMEX and Chase Marriott Boundless offers standard sign up bonuses of 75,000 Marriott Bonvoy Points. With the bonus included, this is worth 30,000 Qmiles which isn't too shabby.
Capital One Rewards
The Venture Miles program offers the opportunity to earn big on purchases with Hotels.com along with offers a few bonus miles from sign up bonuses.
Venture and Venture One
Both of the Venture Cards currently earn 10x Venture Miles on purchases made through hotels.com/venture as part of a promotion lasting until January, 2020. This is equal to a rate of 7.5 Qmiles per $1 spent. If you book your hotels through Hotels.com, you will want to consider pickup one of the Venture Cards. Since both cards offer the same 10x points on Venture purchases, you'll probably want to side with the no-fee Venture One Card over the Venture Card.
