United Club Credit Card
Calculate how many United Miles you can earn and the cash value of the United Club Card based on monthly/yearly spend, benefits, and the annual fee.
The United Airlines MileagePlus Club Card is a great card for anyone looking to enjoy the comfort of United Club Lounge access when flying United Airlines. Along with lounge access, card holders also receive several other perks such as status with both Hertz Rental Car and Hyatt Hotels and two free checked bags. The United Club Card also earns more points on non-category purchases which would work well for anyone who focuses on MileagePlus Miles.
The United MileagePlus Club Card features one bonus category which is United Airlines spending. There is no limit to the amount of miles you can earn with this card and there is no cap to the United Airlines bonus category.
2x United Airlines
The United MileagePlus Club Card earns 2 MileagePlus Miles per $1 spent. United Airlines purchases includes United airline tickets (purchased directly with United), seat upgrades, in-flight food, beverages, Wi-Fi, baggage service charges and other United fees. This does not include United Cruises®, MileagePlus X, DIRECTV, and Merchandise Awards.
Earning double miles on United Purchases generates a solid return of 2.8% at minimum. A higher return can be earned using various Ultimate Rewards Points earning cards such as the Chase Sapphire Reserve and Chase Ink Business Preferred which both earns 3x points per $1 spent and can be transferred to United at a 1-to-1 ratio. Of course, this would bring on additional annual fees. So unless you're using the other cards to consistently build points (which is possible thanks to the wide definition of the 'travel' category), putting United Spend on the Club Card works just as well!
All non-United Airlines purchases on the United MileagePlus Club Card earns 1.5 United MileagePlus Miles per $1 spent. This is a rate that cannot be beat by any Ultimate Rewards Point earning card. Non-category spending on this card is a great choice for anyone focusing on building their United Miles.
