There are several programs that allow you to transfer earned rewards directly into Virgin Atlantic Flying Club Miles. This makes earning Virgin Atlantic Miles easier to earn by using partner credit cards for everyday spend and grabbing up sign up bonuses.
Transfer Rewards Into Virgin Atlantic Miles
There are several programs that transfer directly to Virgin Atlantic's Flying Club program. This allows you to build Virgin Atlantic Miles faster by earning points in other rewards programs and transferring them directly to your account. Below is the list of Virgin Atlantic Miles transfer partners.
Membership Rewards Points
American Express Membership Rewards Points is one of the best options when it comes to building miles for SkyTeam partners. They offer 10 different credit cards which covers categories such as supermarkets, restaurants, gas stations, and airfare. Points transfer at a 1:1 ratio meaning you can earn big on cards like the AMEX Gold Card which earns 4 points per $1 at supermarkets and restaurants and earns 3 points per $1 spent on airfare which matches the earning rate of the Virgin Atlantic Mastercard. AMEX also features the popular AMEX Platinum Card which is the best credit card for airport lounge access.
Chase Ultimate Rewards
Another good choice for earning Virgin Atlantic Miles is Chase's Ultimate Rewards Points. These transfer to Flying Blue Miles at a 1:1 ratio which allows you to earn 3 points on all travel purchases using the popular Chase Sapphire Reserve or earning big on business categories such as shipping, internet, and advertising with the Chase Ink Business Preferred Card. If you have an Ultimate Rewards Points earning card, you can even earn points using their cash back cards!
Citi ThankYou Points
Citi ThankYou Points transfer to Flying Club at a 1:1 ratio. Earn big on travel, dining, and entertainment purchases with the Citi Premier Card or travel in luxury with the Citi Prestige Card and earn 5 points per $1 on airfare and dining and 3 points per $1 on hotels and cruise lines.
Hilton Honors Points
Hilton Honors Points transfers to more than 40 airline partners witch Virgin Atlantic being one of them. Hilton Honors Points are earned at a base rate of 10 points per $1 spent and transfer to Virgin Atlantic at a rate of 10,000 Hilton Honors Points for 1,500 Virgin Atlantic Miles meaning every 20 Hilton Honors Points you transfer will give you 3 Virgin Atlantic Miles. This is a relatively low transfer rate that I wouldn't recommend unless you're close to an award with Virgin Atlantic. Hilton has four credit cards with the best one being the luxury Hilton Aspire Card which grants you a great deal of benefits including Hilton Diamond Status which gives you the ability to earn 34x Hilton Honors Points per $1 spent at Hilton Hotels.
Marriott Bonvoy Points
Marriott Bonvoy Points is the best hotel program for transferring points to airline partners. Marriott points transfer at a ratio of 3 Marriott Points to 1 airline mile for the majority of their 40 airline partners. Marriott also offers 15,000 bonus points for every 60,000 points you transfer giving you an additional 5,000 airline miles. Marriott has three available credit cards.
