The JetBlue Business Card is a wonderful Barclays Credit Card that can earn some serious TrueBlue Points on JetBlue flights. The card offers an outstanding 6x points per $1 spent on JetBlue purchases while still offering double miles on both restaurant and office supply store purchases. Cardholders even receive an annual statement credit and a free checked bag on top of an annual point bonus. The JetBlue Business Card is the gift that keeps on giving and is definitely worth considering for true JetBlue Business customers!

Bonus Categories

The JetBlue Business Card has three bonus categories. Those categories are JetBlue Airway purchases, restaurants, and office supply stores. There is no limit to the amount of TrueBlue Points you can earn. Below are the detail of each bonus category.

6x JetBlue Airways

Using the JetBlue Business Credit Card for JetBlue Airway purchases will earn 6 TrueBlue Points per $1 spent. This category counts as any purchases made directly with JetBlue Airways, including airfare. Earning 6x is a superb return of 7.8% if you cherish JetBlue's points at 1.3 cents each making this one of the best card for JetBlue purchases next to the JetBlue Plus Card. One of the only combinations that can beat this return is if you have both the AMEX Platinum and AMEX Business Platinum cards. The AMEX Platinum will earn you 5x Membership Reward Points and the AMEX Platinum Business Card gives you a 35% rebate on points used to book travel, making AMEX points worth 1.54 cents each for a return of 7.7%. But of course, the annual fees on both Platinum Cards are signficantly higher than the JetBlue Business Card so this should only be considered if you already have either or both cards.

2x Restaurant

Spending at restaurants with the JetBlue Business Card will net 2 TrueBlue Points per $1 spent. This includes fast food, fine dining establishments, and any other purchases coded as restaurant. This is equal to about a 2.6% return which isn't too bad for dining, but there are better cards to put dining on.

2x Office Supply Stores

Office supply store purchases on the JetBlue Business Card will earn 2 TrueBlue Points per $1 spent. This bonus applies at merchants such as Office Max, Office Depot, and Staples. Spending in this category can be useful for businesses that spend a great deal purchasing office supplies. There are a few other cards that offer 2x miles on office supply store purchases including the Barclays Aviator Business Card, Hawaiian Business Card, and the Chase United Explorer Business Card.

Any spending on the JetBlue Business Card outside of the categories listed above will only earn 1x TrueBlue Points per $1 spent. This is a low return of 1.3%. You could get a 1.5% cash back card to make up the small difference, but if you're looking to earn JetBlue Points, putting non-category spend across the card is definitely an option. I recommend checking the bonus categories on Membership Reward Point earning cards since they transfer to JetBlue TrueBlue Points at a 1:1 ratio (explained below).

Perks and Benefits

First Bag Checked Free

JetBlue Business Card holders will receive a free first checked bag for them and up to three companions traveling on the same itinerary. Unlike the Delta Credit Cards which only require you to have them tied to your account, the JetBlue Business Card must be tied to your JetBlue account and used to pay for the airfare. Of course, at an earning of 6x points per $1 spent, there is no reason why you should not be using it to pay for JetBlue airfare.

JetBlue Mosaic Status

Running $50,000 in spend through the JetBlue Business Card will grant you JetBlue Mosaic status. Mosaic status comes with waived change and cancellation fees, first and second checked bag free, expedited security lines, early boarding, and more. It's a high spend goal, but if you're using it for business related purchases and have employees, this is not an impossible spend goal to reach. Most airlines do not allow you to spend your way to status, so this is a great benefit to have available. You can calculate how much you can earn from having Mosaic Status based on fare, spend, and whether or not you use a JetBlue Credit Card on our JetBlue Points Calculator page.

$100 JetBlue Vacation Statement Credit

Every calendar year a JetBlue Vacations package of $100 or more is purchased on the JetBlue Business Card, a $100 statement credit will be applied to the account as long as the JetBlue account is still opened and is in good standing.

50% Off In-Flight Purchases

Using the JetBlue Business Card to purchase cocktails and food while on a JetBlue Airways operated flight will grant you 50% off those purchases in the form of a statement credit. This is an extremely generous savings as most airlines, such as Delta and American airlines, offer only 20%-25% off in-flight purchases. If you purchase anything on a JetBlue flight, this is the credit card you will want to use.

5,000 Bonus Points Annually

JetBlue Business Card holders will receive 5,000 bonus JetBlue TrueBlue Points annually on the account anniversary. 5,000 TrueBlue Points are worth about $60, so this takes away a chunk of the $99 annual fee.

10% Point Rebate On Redemptions

When you redeem your JetBlue points for travel on a JetBlue-operated award flight, 10% of those points will be deposited back into your account. For example, if you redeem 25,000 TrueBlue Points for an award flight, you will get 2,500 of those points back a few weeks after the flight is completed.

Sign Up Bonus

The standard JetBlue Business credit card sign up bonus is 50,000 bonus points after spending $1,000 on purchases within the first 90 days. That's generally worth about $600 when redeemed for airfare on JetBlue Airways. These points generally take a few weeks to post to the TrueBlue account.

Credit Card Fees

Annual Fee
Authorized User Fee
Foreign Transaction Fee

Annual Fee

The annual fee for the JetBlue Business Card is $99. Considering this card offers a $100 statement credit towards JetBlue Vacations, a free checked bag, and 5,000 bonus points (worth about $60), it can easily be worth the $99 price tag attached to the card.

Authorized User Fee

There is no authorized user fee for the JetBlue Business Card. Employee cards can be added at no cost and comes with tools to control credit lines, single purchase limits, and cash access. Adding additional users can be a great way to build JetBlue Points really fast.

Foreign Transaction Fee

There is no foreign transaction fee for the JetBlue Business Card. This means you will not be penalized for purchases outside of the United States.
