Barclays Arrival Miles Calculators
Barclays Arrival Miles Calculators for calculating total miles based on monthly/yearly spend with Arrival credit cards and cash value by redemption.
The Arrival Rewards Program is a rewards program that was offered by Barclays Bank. The program is currently closed to new applicants. Barclays removed their last Arrival Miles card from there website in mid-2019. While both the Barclays Arrival Plus and Barclays Arrival Premier operated under the Arrival program, it is not possible to move rewards between the cards as both cards operated separately.
Barclays Arrival Miles are known for being flexible rewards points that can wipe out travel charges made to the card. They're great for things like tolls, parking fees, and other miscellaneous travel charges that big rewards point program like Ultimate Rewards and Membership Rewards wouldn't be able to cover (at least a good rate).
Barclays Arrival Miles are earned by using Arrival Miles credit cards. These credit cards are closed to new applicants, but the program itself is still up and running. There are no programs that transfer to Barclay's Arrival Miles program and no way to earn points outside of going through Barclays Bank.
The primary purpose of Barclays Arrival Miles is to redeem them for travel purchases made to the card which gives you the best value. You can also use them for gift cards, merchandise, and cash back statement credits though you will only earn half the value.

Barclays Arrival Miles have the best value when redeemed for travel-related purchases. For Barclays, this is considered to be:
- Hotels and Motels
- Car Rentals
- Cruise Lines
- Travel Agencies (Expedia, Orbitz, etc.)
- Discount Travel Sites
When you redeem your Arrival Miles for travel that falls under the above categories and anything else Barclays considers to be travel, each mile will be worth 1 cent. On top of that, you will also earn 5% of your miles back. So redeeming 10,000 Arrival Miles toward travel will be worth $100. You will also receive 5% of your redeemed miles credited back to your account which would be 500 Arrival Miles in this scenario. This makes your miles worth a little over 1.05 cents each. Keep in mind that minimum redemption is 10,000 miles for $100.
Arrival Miles can be redeemed for gift cards at a value of 0.5 cents per Mile. This means that 5,000 Arrival Miles can be cashed in for a $25 gift card. Of course this is not recommended since you can get $50 out of the same amount of miles when used for travel. If you're looking to earn gift cards, you're better off using cash back credit cards such as the Citi Double Cash which earns 2% cash back on all purchases giving you a 1 cent for 1 cent value instead of Barclays 0.5 cents.
Cash Back and Statement Credits
Arrival Miles can also be redeemed for cash back statement credits for non-travel related purchases. This will give your Arrival Miles a value of 0.5 cents each. Again, this isn't the best use of Arrival Miles. If you're looking for cards that issue great cash back/statement credits, you're going to want to pick up a cash back earning card.
Barclays Arrival Miles Transfer Calculator
Arrival Premier Cardholders have/had the ability to transfer miles to nine airline frequent flyer programs:
- Air France/KLM Flying Blue
- China Eastern
- Etihad Airways
- EVA Air
- Japan Airlines (JAL)
- Jet Airways
- Malaysia Airlines
Transfer ratio for these programs are 1.4 Arrival Miles to 1 airline mile with the exception of Japan Airlines which has a ratio of 1.7 Arrival Miles to 1 airline mile. This is a relatively unfavorable transfer ratio when most of the major bank programs with transferable points offer 1:1 transfers and bonus categories that earn more than 2 points per $1 spent.

Credit Card Rewards Calculators
As previously mentioned, there are no Barclays Arrival credit cards available for new applicants. Barclays has had two Arrival Miles earning cards over the past years. The original Arrival Plus card earns miles at a flat rate and provided a rebate on redeemed points which gave the points a slight boost in value. The Barclays Premier Card on the other hand was an unsuccessful card that released with lackluster perks, unfavorable transfer ratios, a higher-than-needed annual fee, and no sign up bonus. The Premier card had a lifespan of 7 months before it was pulled from the site.

Each credit card also has it's own Arrival Miles calculator. The calculator will calculate how many Arrival Miles you can earn and the cash value of the credit card based on your monthly/yearly spend, how much each card benefit is worth to you, and the fees of the card. You can compare the results side by side any credit card featured on the site. Any spend you enter into the credit card calculator will carry over to all credit card calculators on the site, so there's no need to re-enter spend when jumping page to page.
Comparison Calculators features side by side comparisons of frequently compared credit cards or comparisons requested through our YouTube channel. These calculators are already set up so you can immediately start calculating total rewards as well as the cash value of the compared cards based on your monthly/yearly spend, how much the card benefits are worth to you, and the annual fees. Comparison Calculators does not allow you to change the designated cards being compared.
