Card Review & Altitude Points Calculator
4x Dining
2x Grocery
2x Gas Station
2x Streaming Services
$15 Annually Streaming Credit

Earn 4x on dining and 2x on grocery, gas, and streaming services with the new U.S. Bank Altitude Go Card. Calculate points and compare against top cards.

The Altitude Go Visa Card is new card offered by U.S. Bank that falls under the Altitude Rewards Program. It has no annual fee, a great return on dining/takeout spend, and offers a small annual credit for streaming purchases.

Do note that you do not need an existing US Bank relationship to apply for this card like you do the Altitude Reserve.

Altitude Points Value

Altitude Points earned on the Altitude Go Visa and Altitude Connect will be worth 1 cent each. You will not be able to combine them with the points earned on the Altitude Reserve and redeem them for 1.5 cents.

Bonus Categories

The U.S. Bank Altitude Go Visa earns bonus points on four categories which are dining/takeout, grocery, gas station, and streaming services.

  • 4x Dining
    • Includes takeout and food delivery services.
  • 2x Grocery
  • 2x Gas Station
  • 2x Streaming Services
    • U.S. Bank has the following examples of streaming services that will earn you 2x points:
      • Amazon Music
      • Apple Music
      • AT&T TV Now
      • Disney+
      • Google Music
      • Hulu
      • Netflix
      • Pandora
      • SiriusXM
      • Slacker Radio
      • Sling TV
      • Spotify
      • Tidal
      • Vudu
      • YouTube Music
      • YouTube TV
  • 1x Non-Category

For a card with no annual fee, these are some pretty great returns. If you have (or plan on picking up) the Altitude Reserve, do note that mobile pay is an option for most dining, grocery, and gas station purchases. Since points earned with the Altitude Reserve are worth up to 1.5 cents each, this can grant you a better return in most cases. Just be sure that you have enough mobile charges that make the annual fee of the card worth it.

Perks & Benefits

The U.S. Bank Altitude Go Visa has only one primary card benefit which is an annual streaming credit.

  • Annual $15 Streaming Credit
    • For every 11 months of streaming services that is charged to your Connect Card, you'll receive $15 in complimentary streaming credit on the 12th month.
    • You do not have to charge the same streaming service to the card every month as long as at least one streaming charge hits the card during each of the 11 months.
    • The Connect Visa offers a higher credit of $30.

Sign Up Bonus (SUB)

The standard sign up bonus for the Altitude Go Visa looks to be 20,000 Points after $1,000 spend within the first 3 months. With Altitude Points being worth 1 cent each, this is worth $200. This sign up bonus ends August 9th, 2020.

The card also comes with 0% intro APR for 12 months on purchases and balance transfers.

Fees

Annual Fee

The Altitude Go Visa has a $0 annual fee which is fantastic for a card that offers 4x on dining along with a streaming credit. The card is a great replacement for the old Barclays Uber Visa.

Authorized User Fee

The Altitude Go Visa does not have an authorized user fee. I highly recommend adding friends/family as authorized users, especially if they spend in the dining/takeout category.

Foreign Transaction Fee

The Altitude Go Visa has a 0% foreign transaction fee. This makes it a great choice for international dining/restaurant spend.
