Best Buy Certificates

Best Buy Rewards Points have one redemption option and that is Best Buy Certificates. Every 250 points you earn in the My Best Buy Rewards Program is equal to a $5 Best Buy Certificate. Members will be able to set the amount of points in which they auto redeem for a certificate. Those with My Best Buy Elite or Elite Plus status will have an extra option for Point Banking. Certificates expire a year after they are received, so you'll want to note that.

You can click on any of the Best Buy credit cards below to learn about the bonus categories, perks & benefits, standard sign up bonus, and fees of the card. Each Best Buy credit card also has it's own rewards calculator. The calculator will calculate how many Best Buy Points you can earn and the cash value of the Best Buy credit card based on your monthly/yearly spend, how much each card benefit is worth to you, and the fees of the card. You can compare the results side by side any credit card featured on the site. Any spend you enter into the Best Buy credit card calculator will carry over to all credit card calculators on the site, so there's no need to re-enter spend when jumping page to page.

Comparison Calculators

Comparison Calculators features side by side comparisons of frequently compared credit cards or comparisons requested through our YouTube channel. These calculators are already set up so you can immediately start calculating total rewards as well as the cash value of the compared cards based on your monthly/yearly spend, how much the card benefits are worth to you, and the annual fees. Comparison Calculators does not allow you to change the designated cards being compared. If you want to compare credit cards outside of the comparisons listed below, I recommend searching for the credit card you want to compare and then using its calculator to compare it against anything featured on the site.

Maximizing Best Buy Spend

Do you want to earn more rewards on top of your Best Buy spend? Below are a few ways to earn rewards when shopping online or in-store with Best Buy.

Using Cash Back & Shopping Rewards Portals

Cash back and rewards portals allow you to earn points, miles, and cash back shopping online by using their affiliate links to get to your favorite websites. Portals are free to use and there's really no drawback to using them as you'll be able to easily triple dip by earning rewards with the portal, with the Best Buy program, and with the credit card you use to make your purchase.

Portals also display active Best Buy coupons and sales so that you can view them all in once spot. You can even use special toolbars which will automatically enter coupon codes for you during checkout.

I recommend reading up on using cash back and shopping portals as they can earn you a LOT of rewards especially when you use them to book travel.

Credit Card Deals and Offers

Many credit cards offer deals and savings for various types of purchases throughout the year. Programs such as AMEX Offers, Chase Offers, and Discover Deals commonly feature savings as well as extra points shopping at Best Buy making them great alternatives if you don't plan on picking up a Best Buy credit card.

Review Best Buy Products

When you purchase items off of Best Buy's website, they prompt you to do a review of the item a few days later. Reviews will usually earn you around 25 Best Buy Points which is a value of $0.50. While that is not a ton of points, they do add up. It only takes 250 points to redeem a $5 Best Buy Certificate.
