The Speedway Speedy Rewards Mastercard is a great option for those looking to build up their Speedy Points. It offers a good amount of points for fuel and merchandise purchases at Speedway Gas Stations that can be used for free or discounted gas, food/beverage, merchandise, and much more.
The Speedy Rewards Mastercard has one bonus category which is purchases made at Speedway Gas Stations. There is no limit to the amount of bonus points you can earn spending at Speedway and no limit to the amount of points you can earn with the Speedy Mastercard in general.
When you use the Speedy Rewards Mastercard to make purchases at Speedway you'll earn 50 Speedy Points per $1 spent. Qualifying purchases include fuel and in-store purchases made at Speedway. A single Speedy Point is worth around 0.11 cents on average meaning this is equal to about a 5.5% return per $1 spent which is pretty nice for a card with no annual fee.
The Speedy Rewards Mastercard earns 10 Speedy Points per $1 spent on all non-Speedway purchases. This is a very low return that worth around 1.1% on average. While this card earns a great return at Speedway, it does not earn a great return when used everywhere else. I highly recommend using another rewards card for all non-Speedway purchases such as a 2% cash back card.
Perks and Benefits
The Speedy Rewards Mastercard does not offer any Speedway specific benefits. You'll receive the basic Mastercard benefits which includes FICO score and fraud protection.
Sign Up Bonus
The standard sign up bonus for the Speedy Rewards Mastercard is 25,000 Speedy Points after spending at least $500 within the first 3 billing cycles. This is worth $50 - $80 depending on how you use it. You can also get even more value with the fuel discount option if you have a big tank.
Credit Card Fees
Authorized User Fee
Foreign Transaction Fee
The Speedy Rewards Mastercard has no annual fee which means you will always earn a positive return on your spend.
Authorized User Fee
The Speedy Rewards Mastercard does not have an authorized user fee. If you have family or friends that spend heavy at Speedway, adding them would help build points a lot faster.
Foreign Transaction Fee
The Speedy Rewards Mastercard has a 3% foreign transaction fee which makes this card a bad option for internationally travel and purchases. Speedway gas stations are located in the United States and the card only earns a great return on Speedway purchases. This is not the card to use for non-Speedway purchases.
