The Delta SkyMiles® Platinum American Express Card earns 3 SkyMiles per $1 spent on Delta purchases and purchases made directly with hotels and 2 SkyMiles per $1 spent on U.S. supermarket purchases and restaurant purchases made worldwide.

The Delta Platinum AMEX Card is most know for the annual Main Cabin companion pass which allows a companion to travel with you on a Main Cabin booking for just the cost of taxes and fees. This benefit alone can easily be worth more than the annual fee of the card.

Other unique benefits that separates the Delta Platinum AMEX Card from the Delta SkyMiles® Gold American Express Card is the ability to earn Medallion Qualification Miles (MQMs) on spend and the ability to earn a Medallion Qualification Dollar (MQD) Waiver running heavy spend through the card.

Overall, the Delta Platinum AMEX Card is the best well-rounded Delta credit card in the family of cards they offer. In my opinion, this is the best credit card for any loyal Delta customer who don't need all the bells and whistles that the Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card offers.
