Hawaiian Airlines is the largest in the state of Hawaii and is the flag carrier of Hawaii. Their main hub is located at Honolulu International Airport and the secondary at Kahului Airport. Earning Rewards

Hawaiian Airlines partners with several airlines that allows you to earn HawaiianMiles including JetBlue, Korean Air, and Virgin Atlantic. You can also earn miles booking with more than 30 other partners which features hotel, car rental, and shopping partners.

HawaiianMiles are primarily earned flying Hawaiian Airlines. The amount of HawaiianMiles you earn will be based off of distance flown. You'll earn 1 HawaiianMiles for every 1 mile you fly on a Hawaiian Airlines flight.

Along with earning miles based on distance, you'll also earn bonus miles for flying First Class along with bonus miles based on your Pualani Status in the Hawaiian Miles program. Flying First Class will earn you a 50% bonus on miles earned. Pualani Gold will earn you 50% bonus miles and Pualani Platinum will earn you 100% bonus miles. All-in-all, you can earn up to a 150% bonus as a HawaiianMiles member flying First Class that has Pualani Platinum status.

Another plus to Pualani Status and Premier Club Status is that flying between the Neighbor Islands will always earn a flat 500 HawaiianMiles each way (rather than the miles listed in the image above).

You can earn Hawaiian Miles by using your HawaiianMiles membership number when booking your flight. The amount of HawaiianMiles you earn will depend on the booking class of each airline. Most of the airlines will offer 100% of your miles when flying normal-level economy and offer the same 50% boost for first class (150% total) or higher. The table below lists the mileage accrual range for each airline.

Hawaiian Airlines Car Rental Partners

Hawaiian Airlines partners with Avis, Budget, and Payless Car Rental. The amount of miles you earn when booking your rental with these agencies will depend on your Hawaiian Airlines Pualani Status.

HawaiianMiles can be earned shopping with a large amount of shopping partners. This can be done through a series of ways including shopping in-person, shopping online, and using a Hawaiian Airlines credit card.

Marketplace Partners

You can earn bonus HawaiianMiles when you use the Hawaiian Airlines Mastercard or Bankoh Hawaiian Airlines Visa Debit Card at a Hawaiian Airlines Marketplace partners. Hawaiian Airlines has a large list of partners that you can view in the Hawaiian Airlines Marketplace Directory.

Grocery Partners

You can earn HawaiianMiles spending at Foodland, Sack n Save, and Foodland Farms when you link your Foodland Maika'i account and HawaiianMiles account. You'll earn 200 HawaiianMiles for every $250 spent at these stores plus you'll earn 3 miles per reusable bag you use when you shop. You'll need to let the cashier know that you would like to earn miles per reusable bag.

HawaiianMiles Online Mall

Hawaiian Airlines has it's own online shopping portal that you can use to earn HawaiianMiles shopping online with popular brands. You'll earn a certain amount of HawaiianMiles per $1 spent (or local currency). The portal also has it's own Google Toolbar Extension called the MileFinder. It will let you know when you're on a website that could earn you HawaiianMiles.

Specialty Partners

Buying Rewards

If transferring rewards to your HawaiianMiles account is not an option, the next best thing is to buy HawaiianMiles. HawaiianMiles can be purchased on the Buy Hawaiian Miles page at a rate of 3 cents per mile. You can buy as little as 500 HawaiianMiles for $15 and as many as 10,000 HawaiianMiles for $300 in a single transaction. They can be purchased in 500-mile increments and you can buy HawaiianMiles up to 3 times per week. There's no posted annual limit.

Do note that you must have account activity in order to be eligible to purchase HawaiianMiles and you will not be able to buy miles for a new account that has a zero balance. You can easily get around this by transferring rewards to your HawaiianMiles account using transfer partners. As long as you have at least 1 HawaiianMile in your account after the transfer, you'll be able to buy HawaiianMiles.
