Out of these partners, American Express Membership Rewards, Chase Ultimate Rewards, and Citi ThankYou Rewards will be your best options for earning JetBlue points.

Citi ThankYou Rewards: Best overall for JetBlue.

Transfer Ratio: Citi ThankYou points can be transferred to JetBlue TrueBlue at a rate of 1,000 ThankYou points for 1,000 JetBlue points. If you're looking to maximize your JetBlue points, the Citi ThankYou Rewards program is the best option because you can earn the equivalent of 2X to 3X JetBlue points on every single purchase using only two ThankYou Rewards credit cards.

Best 2-Card Combo: Use the Citi Premier® Card to earn an unlimited 3X points on restaurant, supermarket, gas station, hotel and air travel purchases and switch to the Citi® Double Cash Card to earn an unlimited 2X points on all other purchases (1% back when you use the card and 1% back when you pay off those purchases).

More Point Options: If you want even more points, you can take it a step further and add the Citi Custom Cash℠ Card to earn 5% back on your top eligible spend category (up to $500 per statement, then 1%) and the Citi Rewards+® Card to earn 10% of your redeemed points back into your account.

Do note that you must have the Citi Premier Card (or the now unavailable Citi Prestige Card) in order to transfer ThankYou points to JetBlue TrueBlue at a 1:1 ratio. If you don't, you will only be able to transfer points at a 5:4 ratio meaning every 1,000 ThankYou points will only give you 800 JetBlue points.

American Express Membership Rewards: Best for travel benefits.

Transfer Ratio: American Express membership Rewards Points can be transferred to JetBlue at a rate of 1,000 AMEX points for 800 JetBlue points. This isn't the best of ratios when compared to Citi and Chase, but several of AMEX's premium credit cards do offer high earning rates in select categories that can still net you more points than both issuers after being transferred to JetBlue.

Other credit cards that earn Membership Rewards points:

Chase Ultimate Rewards: Best for flexibility and value.

Transfer Ratio: Chase Ultimate Rewards points can be transferred to JetBlue at a 1:1 ratio. This means that every 1,000 Chase points you transfer will give you 1,000 JetBlue points.

High Value: One of the best benefits of Chase Ultimate Rewards is the ability to redeem points for 1.25 to 1.5 cents each towards travel booked via Chase. This gives you a way to always obtain high value out of your points when it comes to travel redemptions.

Cash Back Redemptions: While travel is the best way to go for Ultimate Rewards points, it's worth knowing that they can easily be redeemed for 1 cent each towards cash back. You won't get this kind of value out of other credit card rewards programs, so it's nice to have the increase flexibility.

Travel Insurance: Chase offers the best travel insurance of any major credit card issuer in the states. Trip cancellation, trip interruption, auto rental collision damage waiver, baggage delay, trip delay... you'll receive it all as long as you pay for eligible travel using your Ultimate Rewards credit card. This alone can easily make the program worth it.
