Southwest has a total of 8 rental car partners that you can use to earn Southwest Points. This is a great way to earn rewards if you require a rental. You will earn 2 Southwest Points per $1 spent on the car rental partners below when you use a Southwest Airlines Credit Card.
You can book all of these rental car agencies through Southwest's car rental portal or you can book them directly through the rental car agency website. I recommend booking them direct since you'll be able to use a cash back portal to earn cash back on top of your Southwest Points.

Southwest Rapid Rewards Dining
Southwest members can earn Southwest Points eating at their favorite restaurants when they sign up for Southwest's Rapid Rewards Dining program.
Members who opt in for email communication will earn 3 Rapid Rewards Points per $1 spent while members who opt out of email will only receive 1 Rapid Rewards Point per $1 spent. On top of that, you will earn bonus points for continuing to eat out at these restaurants during the year. This is a good way to earn thousands of Southwest Points for eating out as normal. There's nothing extra that you have to do besides sign up. Just make sure you're using a great credit card for dining purchases or a card that will earn you a good amount of Southwest Points when spending at restaurants.
Rapid Rewards Shopping
Southwest members can earn Southwest Points shopping through Southwest's own online Rapid Rewards Shopping portal. It features more than 850 different stores such as Macy's, Home Depot, and Sephora. The shopping portal also provides exclusive deals, bonus points, and provides valuable coupons.

The standard cost of Southwest Points will range from 2.75 to 3 cents. You can buy as little as 2,000 Southwest Points or as many as 60,000 Southwest Points.
