The IHG® Rewards Traveler Credit Card earns 5 IHG Points per $1 spent at IHG properties, 3 points per $1 spent on dining, utilities, select streaming services, and gas stations, and 2 points per $1 spent on everything else.

The card offers complimentary IHG Gold Elite status and access to IHG's 4th night free benefit.

It's a solid option if you're looking for a no-annual fee credit card to use at IHG hotels, but the IHG® Rewards Premier Credit Card will typically be the better option due to the amount of value you can squeeze out of the annual free night as well as the additional points per $1 it earns.

IHG Traveler benefits

4th Night Free Benefit

As an IHG credit card holder, you will receive the 4th night free when booking a 4-night consecutive award stay. This means that a 4 night stay will cost you 3 nights worth of points.

This benefit bumps up the value of IHG Points quite significantly. If possible, I recommend always going for 4-night (or more) bookings in order to get the most value out of your IHG Points.

Complimentary IHG Gold Elite Status

As an IHG Traveler Card holder, you'll receive complimentary IHG Gold Elite status. This is normally obtained after 10 Nights or 10,000 Base Points.

20% Off IHG Point Purchases

When you buy points from the IHG portal, you'll automatically receive a 20% discount. This discount only applies if there is no active promotion.

Is the IHG Traveler Card worth it?

While the card itself is pretty good in terms of reward and benefits, the IHG Premier Card will typically be the better option due to the annual free night award, 10x on IHG spend, and other additional benefits.

Does the IHG Traveler Card have an annual fee?

No, there is no annual fee for being an IHG Traveler Cardholder.

Does the IHG Traveler Card have a foreign transaction fee?

No. You can use the IHG Traveler Card internationally without being charged a fee.

What's the best benefits of the IHG Traveler Card?

The best benefit is the 4th Night Free perk you'll have access to. The travel insurance, purchase protection, and cell phone protections the card offers is also very useful.

Should I get the IHG Traveler Card or IHG Premier Card?

The IHG Premier Card offers all the benefits of the Traveler Card along with a free annual night that can easily be worth more than the annual fee of the card. In my opinion, there's no real reason to get the IHG Traveler Card.
