The Points Rewards Plus program, previously known as Powerup Rewards, allows you to earn points purchasing participating products in-store or online at Kroger brand stores. Points can then be redeemed for gamer-favorite rewards, grocery savings, gift cards, and experiences.
How does Points Rewards Plus work?
For every $40 that you spend on purchases of qualifying products during a qualifying period, you will receive a unique one-time unique Points Rewards Plus pin code redeemable for 1,000 points.
Qualifying purchases can be made in-store or online at Kroger brand stores and you must spend a full $40 on qualifying products to receive the 1,000 points. Spend amounts less than $40 prior to the end of a qualifying period will not carry over to the next qualifying period.
As a member, you must log into your Points Rewards Plus account and redeem the code. You can earn multiple pin codes in any one transaction over the course of any Qualifying Period, but you are limited to depositing four pin codes per week and redeeming two rewards per week.

Is the Points Rewards Plus program worth it?
The best redemption option (or at least most consistent) for the Kroger Points Rewards Plus program is 28,350 points for a $100 gift card which will give your points a value of 0.35 cents each. Since you earn 1,000 points per $40 spent, you'll need to spend $1,160 on participating products in order to build enough points for a $100 gift card.
Crunching the numbers that comes out to be a 8.6% return on your spending which is a great return. Just be aware that there are caps on how many Pin Codes you can redeem and how often you can redeem... so even if you do spend a lot at Kroger, it may take awhile before you can actually redeem your points for what you want.
Even with that being the case, there's no cost to sign up for the program so I highly suggest doing so if you frequently shop at Kroger and their partner stores.

There are no credit cards that will earn you points in the Points Rewards Plus program, but you can still easily double dip on rewards by using a rewards credit card to pay for your Kroger purchases.
