Ulta Rewards points value
Ulta offers a simple point chart to let you know how many Ulta Rewards points you need to redeem for a discount. The more points you redeem at once, the more your points are worth.
Based on the Ulta point chart, Ulta Rewards points can be worth as little as 3 cents each and as much as 6.25 cents each. Here's the full chart:
Points needed | Ulta discount | Value of points in cents |
---|---|---|
100 Points | $3 Off | 3 |
250 Points | $8 Off | 3.2 |
500 Points | $17.50 Off | 3.5 |
750 Points | $30 Off | 4 |
1,000 Points | $50 Off | 5 |
2,000 Points | $125 Off | 6.25 |
Redeeming Ulta Rewards points
Ulta Rewards Points can be redeemed towards the purchase price of qualifying products and/or qualifying services in-store or online and for beauty services. They cannot be used towards the purchase of gift cards nor can they be used towards sales tax and shipping and handling charges.
Ulta Rewards Points can be redeemed in any combination of the following points and increments:
- 100 Points = $3 Off
- 250 Points = $8 Off
- 500 Points = $17.50 Off
- 750 Points = $30 Off
- 1,000 Points = $50 Off
- 2,000 Points = $125 Off
You cannot redeem your points outside of those increments. So if you had a $15 Ulta bill, you could redeem:
- 250 Points for $8 off
- another 100 Points for an additional $3 off
- and another 100 Points for an additional $3 off
This would take $14 off your bill and you'll end up redeeming 450 Points. This particular redemption would give your points a value of 3.1 cents each (14 divided by 450).
The best way to maximize your value would be to save up for the higher redemptions, but this is of course personal preference. You'll have to figure out if you're just looking to get your price down as low as possible or if you're looking to maximize the value of the program.
Redeeming Points In-Store
When you redeem points in store, you'll want to let the cashier know in advance before your purchase. You can show them your Ulta Beauty Rewards card or some other type of valid identification in which the store associate can determine your account info.
Redeeming Points Online
When redeeming online, you'll want to make sure you're logged into your Ulta Beauty Rewards account. You'll be able to redeem your points at checkout on any eligible items you have in your cart.
Remember that you cannot use points towards sales tax and shipping and handling charges.
Ulta Rewards Points Expiration
Ulta Rewards Points will expire at the end of the calendar quarter following the twelve month anniversary of the date you earned the points. These quarter dates are:
- March 31
- June 30
- September 30
- December 31
So basically in order to see when your points expire, you'll add a year to the date you earned them and then round up to one of the quarter dates listed above.
For example, if you earned points on January 20, 2024, they would expire the following year on the end of that quarter which would be March 31, 2025.
Points do not expire for Ulta Members that have Platinum or Diamond status.
