Southwest transfer partners
Southwest is a direct transfer partner of one major U.S. credit card rewards program: Chase Ultimate Rewards. You can also transfer points to Southwest using from a handful of other programs.
Here's the list of partners you can use to earn Southwest points:
Chase points to Southwest
Chase Ultimate Rewards Points can be transferred to Southwest Rapid Rewards at a 1:1 ratio. This means that 1,000 Ultimate Rewards Points can be converted to 1,000 Rapid Rewards Points.
This opens up the ability to rake in a large sum of points through intro bonuses and everyday spending across Ultimate Rewards credit cards.
Marriott points to Southwest
Marriott Bonvoy points can be transferred to Southwest Rapid Rewards at a 3:1 ratio. This means every 3,000 Marriott Bonvoy points you transfer will give you 1,000 Southwest points.
On top of that, every 60,000-point block of Marriott Bonvoy points you transfer in a single transaction will reward you with a bonus 15,000 Marriott Bonvoy points which comes out to be 5,000 Southwest points when transferred.
So a 60,000-Marriott Bonvoy point transfer would give you a total of 25,000 Southwest points — 20,000 points plus the 5,000 point bonus.
