3% Supermarket
2% Gas Station
2% Department Stores

Review the benefits of the no-annual fee AMEX Blue Cash Everyday and calculate how much cash back you can earn based on your monthly/yearly spend.

The AMEX Blue Cash Everyday is a solid credit card choice for anyone trying to accumulate a decent amount of cash back without having to worry about an annual fee. It's one of AMEX's best cards when it comes to earning on grocery purchases while having no annual fee. The Blue Cash Everyday Preferred is the annual fee version which offers a significantly higher amount of cash back on grocery as well as feature several other categories. The break even point between both cards when it comes to grocery spending alone is $270 per month. If you spend more than that per month, the Blue Cash Everyday Preferred will earn you more cash back. If you spend less, stick with the AMEX Blue Cash Everyday Cash Everyday.

Bonus Categories

The AMEX Blue Cash Everyday Card features three bonus categories which are supermarkets, gas stations, and department stores. The supermarket category has a spend cap of $6,000 per year while both the gas and department stores do not have a cap on how much bonus cash back you can earn. There's no limit to the amount of cash back you can earn with the card overall.

Perks & Benefits

The AMEX Blue Cash Everyday Card does not feature any special perks or benefits that are specific to the card itself. You will receive your usual handful of American Express benefits offered on most of their cards.

Sign Up Bonus (SUB)

The standard AMEX Blue Cash Everyday signup bonus is $150 after you spend $1,000 in purchases on your new Card in your first 3 months. This AMEX Blue Cash Everyday bonus is given back to the cardholder in the form of a statement credit. A welcome bonus of $200 can sometimes be obtained if you use private/incognito browsing before applying for the card or by using referral links.

Annual Fee

The AMEX Blue Cash Everyday Card does not have an annual fee which is great considering it earns a solid return across several categories.

Authorized User Fee

There is no authorized user fee for the AMEX Blue Cash Everyday Card. If you have friends or family that spend in the supermarket, gas station, or department store category, I'd recommend adding them as an additional cardholder so that you can maximize your cash back with AMEX.

Foreign Transaction Fee

The AMEX Blue Cash Everyday Card has a foreign transaction fee of 2.7%. This means you will lose the value of your cash back faster than you can earn it when using it to make internationally purchases.
