Last Updated: 2020-07-09

The Capital One Savor One Card is part of the Savor family of cards which earns bonus cash back on dining, entertainment, and grocery purchases. The Savor One Card is the no-annual fee version of the Capital One Savor Card and earns cash back at a slightly lower rate than it's annual fee sibling. It's a great card for those looking to earn cash back that does not spend more than $800 per month across both dining and entertainment. Those looking to maximize their cash back with Capital One will want to pair their Savor One (or Savor Card) with the 1.5% cash back earning Quicksilver One Card.

Savor 2018 Changes (Grandfathered)

The original Savor card had no annual fee when it was first released and there was not an annual fee version of the card. In August 2018, the original Savor Card received a bump in earnings to 4% and an annual fee was slapped on the card. Everyone who had the original Savor card were grandfathered to the new earning rate with no annual fee. The Savor One Card was released that same day with the earning rates that the original Savor had (3%) and no annual fee.

Bonus Categories

The Capital One Savor One Card features three bonus categories which are dining, entertainment, and grocery. There is no limit to the amount of bonus cash back you can earn spending in these categories and no limit to the amount of cash back you can earn with the card in general.

  • 3% Dining
  • 3% Entertainment
    • Capital One defines entertainment as:
      • Movie Theaters
      • Video Rentals (non-digital)
      • Tourist Attractions
      • Amusement Parks
      • Aquarium
      • Zoos
      • Billiard/Pool Establishments
      • Bowling Alleys
      • Ticket Events
  • 2% Grocery
  • 1% Non-Category

Perks & Benefits

The Capital One Savor One Card does not feature any benefits that are specific to the card itself. As a Capital One cardholder, you will receive the normal array of Capital One benefits along with World Elite Mastercard benefits if you're approved for a $5,000 or more credit limit.

  • Capital One Benefits
    • Virtual Card Number
    • Card Lock
    • Paribus from Capital One
    • CreditWise from Capital One
  • Travel and Purchase Coverage

Sign Up Bonus

The standard sign up bonus for the Savor One Card is $150 after spending $500 within the first three months of account opening. This is significantly less than the bonus offered on the Savor Card with exactly one-third the spend.

Annual Fee

The Capital One Savor One Card does not have an annual fee. Remember that if you spend more than $800 across entertainment and dining collectively, the Savor Card will be the better option even with the fee.

Authorized User Fee

Capital One does not charge you to add an additional user to your Savor One Card. I highly recommend adding additional users to help build up your cash back across the categories featured on this card. When deciding between the Savor and Savor One Cards, you'll want to consider the earning capabilities as high spend could make the Savor the better choice.

Foreign Transaction Fee

The Capital One Savor One Card has a 0% foreign transaction fee which makes it a superb choice for international travel and spend. Maximize your international purchasing power by pairing the Savor One with the no-annual fee Capital One Quicksilver Card.

You can use the rewards calculator to calculate how many points, miles, or cash back you can earn based on your spend per category. Note! All category spend entered in the primary card's column (first column when comparing cards) will carry over to all credit card calculators on the site. This means you will not have to re-enter the same information again and again when browsing during the session.
