Chase Freedom Unlimited Points Value

Ultimate Rewards Points earned with the Chase Freedom Unlimited Card are worth 1 cent each when redeemed for cash back, statement credits, gift cards, and more.

You can obtain higher value by transferring your Chase Freedom Unlimited Points to an Ultimate Rewards credit card that offers the ability to transfer points to Chase's travel partners or redeem them for travel through Chase Ultimate Rewards.

Here are the values you can obtain with each Ultimate Rewards credit card compared to the Chase Freedom Unlimited:

Chase Point Value - Travel
Card Point Value
Chase Freedom Unlimited 1 Cent
Chase Sapphire Preferred 1.25+ Cents
Chase Ink Business Preferred 1.25+ Cents
Chase Sapphire Reserve 1.5+ Cents

The best way to maximize the value of the Chase Freedom Unlimited Card is by pairing it with an Ultimate Rewards credit card that offers increased value towards travel and other purchases (such as Pay Yourself Back).

For example, if you were to earn 40,000 points with the Chase Freedom Unlimited and didn't own any of the other three cards, you would only be able to redeem your points for 1 cent each which would give you $400 in cash back, gift cards, or travel.

If you were also a Chase Sapphire Preferred or Chase Ink Business Preferred cardholder, you would be able to transfer the 40,000 points you earned with the Chase Freedom Unlimited to one of those cards and redeem the points for 1.25 cents each for $500 towards travel and Pay Yourself Back redemptions.

Transferring your points to the Chase Sapphire Reserve would yield an even better value of $600 in value towards travel booked through Chase Ultimate Rewards or the Pay Yourself Back feature.

In addition to the extra value through Chase Ultimate Rewards, you would also have the ability to transfer your points to Chase's airline and hotel partners which can give you even higher value than 1.5 cents each.
