Earning rates
The Ink Business Unlimited earns Ultimate Rewards points that can be redeemed for cash back and other rewards. It earns points at the following rates:
- 1.5% Cash Back rewards on every purchase made for your business.
Rewards value
The key thing to understand: this card earns Ultimate Rewards points, not literal cash. On their own, they're worth a flat 1 cent each — so 1.5% back is 1.5 cents per dollar, straightforward cash back.
But if you also hold a Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card, Chase Sapphire Reserve®, Sapphire Reserve for Business℠ Credit Card, or Chase Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card, you can pool these points into that account and redeem them through Points Boost or transfer them to airline and hotel partners, where they often clear 2 cents each. Redeemed that way, the flat 1.5% becomes an effective 1.5X travel-points rate on every purchase — a strong return for uncategorized spend.
Perks and benefits
The Ink Business Unlimited offers complimentary DashPass and automatic credit line reviews.
Complimentary DashPass
Complimentary DashPass membership when you activate — waiving DoorDash delivery fees and reducing service fees on eligible orders, handy for team meals and quick supply runs.
Automatic Credit Line Reviews
As a Chase cardmember, your account is automatically reviewed for a credit line increase every six months or sooner — useful for a growing business that needs more purchasing power over time.
Insurance and protections
The Ink Business Unlimited keeps protections basic for a no-fee card — purchase and rental coverage, but no trip insurance or cell phone protection. Coverage requires you to pay with the card.
- Car Rental Loss & Damage
Decline the rental company's collision insurance and charge the entire rental cost to your card. Coverage is primary when renting for business purposes and provides reimbursement up to $60,000 for theft and collision damage for most rental vehicles with an MSRP of $125,000 or less.
- Travel and Emergency Assistance
If you run into a problem while traveling away from home, this benefit provides legal and medical referrals and access to other travel and emergency assistance services. (You will be responsible for the cost of any goods or services obtained.)
- Roadside Assistance
If you have a roadside emergency, call the service provider to dispatch the help you need. Roadside service fees will be billed to your card at time of dispatch.
- Purchase Protection
Covers your eligible new purchases for 120 days from the date of purchase against damage or theft up to $10,000 per item.
- Extended Warranty Protection
Extends the time period of the manufacturer's U.S. warranty by an additional year, on eligible warranties of three years or less, up to four years from the date of purchase.
Coverage details last reviewed Jul 15, 2026. Always confirm current terms in the issuer's guide to benefits before relying on coverage.
Transfer partners
Points earned with the Ink Business Unlimited cannot be transferred directly to other programs, but you can transfer them to an eligible Ultimate Rewards credit card first and then transfer them to Chase's airline and hotel partners.
Eligible cards include:
- Sapphire Reserve for Business℠ Credit Card
- Chase Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card
- Chase Sapphire Reserve®
- Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card
This means that pairing the Ink Business Unlimited with any of the cards above will allow you to redeem your points for high value towards travel. This can easily make your points worth up to 2 cents or more when transferred with Chase's partners or when redeemed in the Chase Travel portal.
Fees
Annual Fee
The Ink Business Unlimited has a $0 annual fee.
Earning rewards at a flat-rate of 1.5% back with no annual fee is a win-win.
Authorized User Fee
There is no fee to add authorized users to the Ink Business Unlimited. Adding employee cards can help you earn rewards faster for your business.
Foreign Transaction Fee
The Ink Business Unlimited has a 3% foreign transaction fee. This means you will be penalized every time you make a purchase outside of the United States.
Is it worth it?
The Chase Ink Business Unlimited is worth it for nearly any business — with no annual fee, an unlimited 1.5% on everything, and no categories to manage, there's essentially no downside to holding it. The only question is whether you'll use it alone or as part of a Chase setup.
As a standalone card: it's a clean, simple flat-rate earner. For a business that doesn't want to track categories, 1.5% back on every purchase with no fee is a solid, no-effort return.
As a catch-all in a Chase setup: this is its real job. Every other Chase business card — the Chase Ink Business Cash® Credit Card, Chase Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card, and Sapphire Reserve for Business℠ Credit Card — earns only 1% outside its bonus categories. Add the Ink Business Unlimited and all that non-bonus spending earns 1.5% instead, feeding the same points pool. Paired with a card that unlocks transfers, that 1.5% becomes 1.5X transferable travel points.
Where it falls short: it's not for international use (3% foreign transaction fee), and a flat-rate card that earns more — like a 2% cash-back business card — will beat its 1.5% base if you don't plan to pair it for travel. Its value climbs specifically when it's part of the Chase ecosystem.
Bottom line: for a no-fee card, it's close to essential as the "everything else" earner in a Chase business setup, and perfectly capable on its own. Run your spending through the calculator to see what it earns alone versus paired.
