How to earn points
The Chase Ink Business Premier® Credit Card earns cash back, issued as Ultimate Rewards points fixed at 1 cent each, at these rates:
- 2.5% cash back on every purchase of $5,000 or more
- 5% cash back on travel booked through Chase Travel
- 2% cash back on all other purchases, with no limit
The 2.5% tier is the card's signature feature: it rewards single purchases of $5,000 or more — a threshold aimed squarely at businesses making large, lumpy expenses like equipment, inventory, or contractor payments. There are no bonus categories and no caps, so it's a pure flat-rate card.
Note: The $5,000 applies per individual purchase, not a cumulative total.
Rewards value
Based on our valuations, points earned with the Ink Business Premier are worth 1 cent each — and unlike other Chase cards, that's the ceiling, not a floor.
The Premier's points are redeemable for cash back only. They cannot be pooled into a Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card, Chase Sapphire Reserve®, Sapphire Reserve for Business℠ Credit Card, or Chase Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card account, and they cannot be transferred to airline or hotel partners.
So while other Chase cards' points can stretch to 2 cents or more through transfers, the Premier's are worth a flat 1 cent however you redeem them. Judge this card purely on its cash-back rate, not on Chase's transfer ecosystem.
Perks and benefits
The Ink Business Premier Card offers complimentary DashPass and the ability to carry a balance on eligible purchases with Flex for Business.
Complimentary DashPass
Complimentary DashPass membership when you activate — waiving DoorDash delivery fees and reducing service fees on eligible orders. Useful perk if your business uses the service.
Flex for Business
Because the Premier is a charge-style card designed to be paid in full, Flex for Business lets you carry a balance on eligible purchases over a set threshold, paying them off over time with interest.
It gives large-purchase flexibility without a traditional revolving balance on everyday spend.
Insurance and protections
The Ink Business Premier carries more protection than Chase's no-fee Ink cards, including cell phone protection and some trip coverage. Coverage requires you to pay with the card.
- Trip Cancellation and Interruption Insurance
If your trip is canceled or cut short by sickness, severe weather or other covered situations, you can be reimbursed up to $5,000 per covered traveler and $10,000 per trip for your pre-paid, non-refundable travel expenses, including passenger fares, tours, and hotels.
- Auto Rental Coverage
Decline the rental company's collision insurance and charge the entire rental cost to your card. Coverage is primary when renting for business purposes and provides reimbursement up to $60,000 for theft and collision damage for most rental vehicles with an MSRP of $125,000 or less.
- Travel and Emergency Assistance
If you run into a problem while traveling away from home, this benefit provides legal and medical referrals and access to other travel and emergency assistance services. (You will be responsible for the cost of any goods or services obtained.)
- Roadside Assistance
If you have a roadside emergency, call the service provider to dispatch the help you need. Roadside service fees will be billed to your card at time of dispatch.
- Cell Phone Protection
Get up to $1,000 per claim in cell phone protection against covered theft or damage for cell phones listed on your monthly cell phone bill when you pay it with your eligible credit card. Maximum of 3 claims in a 12-month period with a $100 deductible per claim.
- Purchase Protection
Covers your eligible new purchases for 120 days from the date of purchase against damage or theft up to $10,000 per item.
- Extended Warranty Protection
Extends the time period of the manufacturer's U.S. warranty by an additional year, on eligible warranties of three years or less, up to four years from the date of purchase.

Transfer partners
Points earned with the Ink Business Premier cannot be transferred to travel partners.
This is the key thing that sets the Premier apart from the rest of the Ink family. Its rewards are cash back only — they can't be moved to a Sapphire Preferred, Sapphire Reserve, Sapphire Reserve for Business, or Ink Business Preferred to unlock transfers, and they can't be sent to airline or hotel partners like Hyatt or United.
Every other Chase business card can do this; the Premier cannot. If your goal is transferable travel points, the Ink Business Preferred or Sapphire Reserve for Business is the right choice — the Premier is strictly a high-rate cash-back card.
Fees
Annual Fee
The Ink Business Premier Card has a $195 annual fee.
Authorized User Fee
There is no fee to add employee cards to the Ink Business Premier Card.
Foreign Transaction Fee
The Ink Business Premier Card has no foreign transaction fee, making it usable abroad without the 3% surcharge most other Ink cards carry.
Is it worth it?
The Chase Ink Business Premier is worth it for high-spending businesses that want simple, high-rate cash back — and specifically those making frequent large purchases. Whether the $195 fee pays off comes down to how much you spend and, critically, whether you want cash back rather than travel points.
The large-purchase business: this is its sweet spot. If you routinely make purchases of $5,000 or more — equipment, inventory, contractor payments — the 2.5% on those, plus 2% on everything else with no cap, delivers a high flat return that a heavy spender easily earns the fee back on.
The cash-back purist: a strong fit. If you want straightforward cash and no interest in travel points, the Premier's flat 2%/2.5% beats most flat-rate business cards, and the lack of a foreign transaction fee makes it usable abroad.
Where it's the wrong card: anyone chasing transferable travel rewards. Because its points can't pool or transfer, holding the Premier for "Chase points" is a mistake — you'd want the Ink Business Preferred, Sapphire Reserve for Business, or a personal Sapphire card instead. And a business without large purchases may do better with a no-fee 2% card that avoids the $195 fee entirely like the Chase Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card.
Bottom line: it's a high-rate cash-back card for heavy and large-purchase spenders, full stop. Judge it on its cash-back rate alone, not on Chase's ecosystem. Run your spending through the calculator to see if it clears the fee for you.
