Earning rates
The Ink Business Cash Card earns Ultimate Rewards points that can be redeemed for cash back and other rewards. It earns points at the following rates:
- 5% cash back on the first $25,000 spent in combined purchases at office supply stores and on internet, cable and phone services each account anniversary year.
- 2% cash back on the first $25,000 spent in combined purchases at gas stations and restaurants each account anniversary year.
- 1% cash back on all other purchases–with no limit to the amount you can earn.
Rewards value
Here's the detail that changes how you should think about this card: it earns Ultimate Rewards points, not literal cash. On their own, they're worth a flat 1 cent each — so 5% back is 5 cents per dollar, straightforward cash back.
But if you also hold a Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card, Chase Sapphire Reserve®, Sapphire Reserve for Business℠ Credit Card, or Chase Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card, you can pool these points into that account and redeem them through Points Boost or transfer them to airline and hotel partners, where they often clear 2 cents each.
Redeemed that way, the card's 5% category effectively becomes a 5X travel-points category — one of the best earning rates in the Chase ecosystem.
Perks and benefits
The Ink Business Cash Card offers complimentary DashPass and automatic credit line reviews.
Complimentary DashPass
Complimentary DashPass membership when you activate — waiving DoorDash delivery fees and reducing service fees on eligible orders, useful for team meals and quick supply runs. A genuine perk on a no-fee card.
Automatic Credit Line Reviews
As a Chase cardmember, your account is automatically reviewed for a credit line increase every six months or sooner — helpful for a growing business that needs more purchasing power over time.
Insurance and protections
The Ink Business Cash keeps protections basic for a no-fee card — purchase and rental coverage, but no trip insurance or cell phone protection. Coverage requires you to pay with the card.
- Auto Rental Coverage
Decline the rental company's collision insurance and charge the entire rental cost to your card. Coverage is primary when renting for business purposes and provides reimbursement up to $60,000 for theft and collision damage for most rental vehicles with an MSRP of $125,000 or less.
- Travel and Emergency Assistance
If you run into a problem while traveling away from home, this benefit provides legal and medical referrals and access to other travel and emergency assistance services. (You will be responsible for the cost of any goods or services obtained.)
- Roadside Assistance
If you have a roadside emergency, call the service provider to dispatch the help you need. Roadside service fees will be billed to your card at time of dispatch.
- Purchase Protection
Covers your eligible new purchases for 120 days from the date of purchase against damage or theft up to $10,000 per item.
- Extended Warranty Protection
Extends the time period of the manufacturer's U.S. warranty by an additional year, on eligible warranties of three years or less, up to four years from the date of purchase.
Coverage details last reviewed Jul 15, 2026. Always confirm current terms in the issuer's guide to benefits before relying on coverage.
Transfer partners
Points earned with the Ink Business Cash Card cannot be transferred directly to other programs, but you can transfer them to an eligible Ultimate Rewards credit card first and then transfer them to Chase's airline and hotel partners.
Eligible cards include:
- Sapphire Reserve for Business℠ Credit Card
- Chase Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card
- Chase Sapphire Reserve®
- Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card
This means that pairing the Ink Business Cash Card with any of the cards above will allow you to redeem your points for high value towards travel. This can easily make your points worth up to 2 cents or more!
Hyatt Change: Pooled points transfer 1:1 to most partners, but World of Hyatt moves to a 4:3 ratio as of October 1, 2026 (cardholders approved before June 15, 2026 keep 1:1 until then).
Fees
Annual Fee
The Ink Business Cash Card has a $0 annual fee.
If your business frequents office supply stores, you can't beat the 5% earnings of this card.
Authorized User Fee
There is no fee to add additional users to the Ink Business Cash Card. Adding employee cards can help you earn rewards faster.
Foreign Transaction Fee
The Ink Business Cash Card has a 3% foreign transaction fee. That makes this a very bad choice for international spending and travel.
Is it worth it?
The Chase Ink Business Cash is worth it for nearly any business — with no annual fee, it earns its place as either a standalone cash-back card or a high-earning piece of a Chase points setup. The only real question is whether you spend in its 5% categories and whether you'll pair it.
The category spender: excellent. If your business has meaningful office supply, internet, cable, or phone spend, 5% on up to $25,000 a year is one of the highest category rates available at any fee — and 2% on gas and dining adds more.
The ecosystem builder: this is where it shines. Held alongside a Sapphire card or the Chase Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card, its 5% and 2% categories become 5X and 2X transferable points, redeemable for travel at well over face value. Few no-fee cards can turn everyday business bills into premium travel rewards like this.
Where it overlaps: it covers similar ground to the Ink Business Preferred, but since it has no fee, there's no downside to holding it for the higher 5% categories the Preferred doesn't match — many businesses carry both. Pair it with the Chase Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card instead if you want to go all-in on flat-rate cash back, or run all three as a trio for travel.
Bottom line: for a no-fee card, it's close to essential for businesses with telecom or office-supply spend, and genuinely powerful paired with a Chase transfer card. Run your category spending through the Chase Ink Business Cash Points Calculator to see what it earns on its own versus paired.
